I got the same story as Cybaster except that I was a mod first and then a contributor second. I got the contributor thing after I made a second pile of garbage and then it just appeared.
Then I told some noob, "He would understand when he contributed something." He then gave me links to all of his creations.
That was the moment when I realized that the purple star means nothing. Not that the blue one means anything either.

Same as Cybaster, but no Modship, then I left for a big while , returned when pots released rare akuma , and suddenly sepp threw the star at me.Later on, the admin star when titiln needed some time off.
There are times when peoples attitudes make it harder to give them stuff... I think there have been people who only made a couple stages but were nice and polite and got star right away while others were making chars and stages for months while bragging and arguing a lot before getting anything.

That Cody looks badass, but instead he wears pajamas in sfa. Why didnt they make him like that  I've played fighting games before, hell... my first fighting game was Super Smash Bros. Melee
If you allow a little modification to a PS2 emulator which allow it to run PS3 games, it's a new engine.
