well I'll be posting a link to a beta(if you can call it that) on www.eqchronicles.com in a week or even sooner. Because I don't know much if any coding. the character is  pretty much "no frills" as far  as combos are concerned so you'll find she's relatively cheap utilizing all sorts of objects.  I'll try and add a combo string before I post.  Now that I have a better idea of a workflow,  For future characters now I know what not to do. yeah I know it's still anti aliased.

and for whatever reason I changed her appearance a bit.

That KO portrait has too many .jpg artifacts. Then again, you posted the images in .GIF. Use .PNG.

Also, F12.

She looks like she's missing a face (the jumpkicking one) in the third screenshot.

It looks amazing. I can't wait for a preview video. I don't know how it plays, so all I can comment on is the graphics.

I see some shading inconsistencies with her hair. Do you plan on retouching shading on all the sprites? I personally think it looks fine without it. More importantly, did you save the original vector (I'm assuming) art? I'd love to see her in HD one day.

Also, I saw the full stage image on your site's gallery. It's great.

nice job
her small portrait needs to be cuter/more beautiful than that

You got some spriting skills. But the jump kick sprite altogether looks kinda off. The leg looks a tad to undefined (no detail of a knee), and the face issue.
Also, before we suggest gameplay, it would be nice to hear your plans on her style.

 ;P Well I kinda tried her dude, you're pretty humble calling her beta.

Seems that maybe she could use some more sprites for her walking animation, and some sprites need some more work, like the toads in this super. And yeah, all super portraits, but you should be aware of that.

But that's mostly graphical stuff, the code and the animations work really smooth, nice job, it's one of the most awaited wips for me at least. Will see if I find any code bugs and stuff later.

EDIT:

Wow wow, the DEF file has a bug, if you write version def like this:
Quote
[Info]
name ="Princess Peach Toadstool"
displayname ="Princess Peach "
versiondate =9/5/2007
mugenversion =04,14,2001
author ="EugeneQ"
pal.defaults =1,2,3,4,5

Mugen will crash when you add above 60 characters or so to it I, it's better that you place it with commas or something like this:

versiondate =04,14,2001

Or this, with a semicolon first:

;versiondate =9/5/2007

When mugen crashes with no error messages characters need to be fixed like that.

Because PotS said to post feedback here....

Overall good, but a few complaints.

1. Toad Army super is exceedingly weak.
2. Piranha Plant attack should not be a taunt.
3. Hyper portrait is really grainy.
4. Large portrait has messy transparancies.
5. Palette is set up in a way where everything shares with something, like the dress shares palettes with the face.

  • Aka ShadesTeam/Zeckle
-when the thwomp misses, (ie oppoenent is down and it goes through opponent, or they dodge), it keeps going and doesnt destroyself
-she can do her summon motions even when her ba-bomb or thwomp are already out (might want to make an alternate animation happen for when they are out)
-her moves can be either charge or quarter circles dont make sense, as well as double tapping foward?
- i recomend the ba-bomb being in the forground (just preference)

^ Bob-omb.  >.>

-Her light punch makes her sort of skip forward a short distance.
-She could really use some different animations for the different crouching/jumping attacks.
-This might be a problem on my end, but the commands for some of her moves are a little clunky.  It seemed to have a hard time determining whether I was trying to do the thwomp attack or the firepower super.

Also, be careful with infinite priority. You character is full of it, and it makes her kinda unbalanced.

I remember this from a long time ago. Everything's looking good so far, and the spritework is great. Looking forward to more updates ^^

Btw, even though it's a small detail compared to the rest of the character (such as the gameplay and other sprites), for the shock animation, may want to rework the sprite a little. Then again, I could probably fix that up for you if you really wanted me to try it for you.

One other thing I noticed:  The firepower move does as much damage as a level 2 or 3 super, but it doesn't take any energy to perform.
