Hi! So, I've been saying through facebook that I was back somehow and after few posts of my edits for Ryo AOF2 I have decided to come back here too.

First of all, I plan to update AOFF (Art of Fury) because the arts were pretty rushed (and some family problems made me rush it too, not to mention the Fatal Fury anniversary date etc etc). I also plan to update Laurent Demianoff for regular MUGEN.

First of all, I'm working on Ryo Sakazaki, Art of Fighting 2 version. I have ripped his sprites months and months ago and I had few ideas for him. The main thing is to give him an updated gameplay. For those who like AOF3, which had 3D-games-like combos, I made something similar... well, more like Real Bout Fatal Fury combo system I already used in Art of Fury in fact. But the character will remain 4-buttons (yes, I know, AOF2 was 3 buttons, but technically the 3rd was not often used). He also has a knockdown attack its guardcancel version.
Also, he will be scaled down to fit KOF size (even though the proportions aren't the same but who cares), so I have scaled him down to 0.75. Looks good on MUGEN1.0.


So, for now he has all his basics and few special attacks. Here are some screenshots.







ALSO!!!

He will have an alternate mode which some of his KOF moves. Edits are already done. He will have Hien Shippu Kyaku '96, Mou Ko Rai Jin Gou (which can be followed with Ko hou), Ko oh ken '96 (short range), Ranbu Ken '95 and Tenchi Haoh Ken SDM (Ichi geki issatsu!!).

Been good, and mostly away from fighting games. You can blame DOOM 2016, Resident Evil 7 and DOOM Eternal for that. xD

two new screenshots to show the progress. It's good to have coded another version of the same character before, it helps.

Thanks, it's coming faster than expected because I'm able to work on MUGEN where I was not supposed to. :D
And so, here are new screenshots :

Tenchi Haoh Ken SDM, for now he doesn't have the OSU pose nor it doesn't stun the opponent.


Mou Ko Rai Jin Gou, followed with Kohou.


For now these two moves are on "normal" Ryo, but they are planed for the "KOF" mode.

Might I suggest AOF hitsparks and sounds? Because the default FightFX doesn't quite work on him.

he usually uses real bout sounds and (sometimes) hitsparks. or have things changed in the past... i dunno, 10 or 25 years. or however longs it has been. what days is it even today!?

Hey, I remember your edited intro and I loved it. But I think you never sent the files to me. Now, I wanted to update AOFF to make new portraits and ending and all, so if you want to help, you are veeeeeeeeeeeery welcomen! =)

Ryo's update will feature Ultimate KO, cheese KO, Temjin 's throws custom anim, Yuri's slap custom anim, and random updates on attacks. Same will go for Todoh. King and Hinako will also get their Temjin/Yuri custom animations.
