I'm releasing Vidael from Last Bout as a standalone character. I originally designed this character in high school and have been drawing her and tweaking her design ever since. I first posted a sprite of her around 2010 on MFG. I'm aware her first name is made up. Not sure where I got her name from way back when but I'm stuck on it now even though I know that Vidal and Vidala are actual proper Indian names, while Vidael really doesn't make sense. For anyone wondering, it's prounounced "Vi-DALE."She is a young Indian woman fresh out of med school. Her parents when growing up always encouraged her to become a doctor, but she was secretly obsessed with martial arts and Bruce Lee movies. When her parents found out about her obsession, they forbid her from pursuing it any further, so she was trained in secret on her own dime. She eventually starts competing in professional fights, which her parents were furious about. After her mother fell ill and passed away, her father decided to support her fighting career and submitted her name for entry in the Last Bout tournament. He is now her number one fan. She steps away from her medical career to pursue her dreams of martial arts glory.GAMEPLAYVidael is a 4-button character, and is the only character in the game with a CvTW-style chain combo system (everyone else uses links or target combos). In exchange she does fairly low damage with individual hits and takes a hit in the stamina department. She does not include the Offense/Defense system she will have in the full game. I also haven't added her Alpha Counter-style move (everyone will have one in the full game and will burn Defense Meter). This is probably the only Indian fighting game character I've come across other than Dhalsim. Gonna check her out.

Anyone found any bugs or outstanding issues with her? Does her moveset feel complete or is it missing something?
The LVL3 Super (Flying Kick) can be done with QCBx2, heavy punch or QCBx2, heavy kick instead of QCBx2, heavy punch+ heavy kick like in the readme.The overhead (fwd+ heavy kick) isn't an overhead.The Calcutter EX doesn't use power and gives power back.In the Multi Flash Kicks super, one of the hitdefs has a hitsound = s40, 3, a non-existent sound effect.The Hundred Needles special move can't be finished with light punch as described in the readme.You can super jump after the c.HP even though it's not a launcher.

Awesome, thanks! Watching from the beginning now!Also I should note that I updated the file with a correction in the credits for her voice actor. I had also forgot to list her other command normal, Dragon's Tail, done by pressing B+HK in midair. She had the move the whole time, just forgot to include it in the read me.
The amount of imagination in her Jeet June Do / Rushdown style makes her really fun to play with, thanks a bunch, i shall test her further more, i sent you a PM about more concepts.
I actually have roughly 7 characters ready for release for this game but I'm waiting on stuff like voice acting and what not. Let me know what you think or if anyone else finds any more bugs.
I usually just use gethit sprites if I don't make specific dizzy sprites, but I forgot to do that, lol. Another rookie move, I'm slipping in my old age! Going to update soon with a fix.
