It's sad that they can't use the offical chars, but with Laurens help they will be able to add some realy good OC's to the game. And maybe someone can later add the official chars with a little inofcial patch.. you know "Modding". The Mane6 are forbidden to do it, but that don't stop any modder from doing it after the game is done.^-^
oh my god! my little alpaca: fignting is magic is really gonna happen!!ohmygosh!ohmygosh!ohmygosh!ohmygosh!ohmygosh!ohmygosh!ohmygosh.... !
Yeah, well other than that.Out of curiosity, will it be a breach of C&D for them to release all sprite materials?

he will once my little alpaca is released and some anon mods it and change the sprites for poniesthe important part is that one way or another the game will be released
Well...yea.But it won't have ponies in it, which this guy seems to believe.Watch Mane 6 reveal their pony less game and suddenly the majority of its followers cease to give a damn just cause there's no more ponies in it.
Well, he's not wrong. A lot of people already have given up on it just because "bluh bluh I wanted ponies."On the other hand though, this will probably open the door to a group of new interested fans who otherwise would have actively ignored it because of the ponies.

I dunno, I think it could happen. It got a lot of pretty positive feedback when it was in the showcase at last year's EVO, but there's also a pretty large chunk of people who go out of their way to shit on anything MLP related for no real reason. If they're keeping the system they've built intact, I can see more people being willing to give the game a second look now that ponies aren't involved.
My opinion? If they release the game, I might play it, ponies or not.Seriously, this project got alot of attention and fame MOSTLY because of ponies. While it is great and all, the fans are being particularly shallow in their preference.Me? I am rooting for this game since these guys are putting in alot of effort. I might have started to take interest due to ponies, I will continue to see this game till release, even without the ponies.
Now this is interesting.http://www.mane6.com/2013/03/skullgirls-engine-and-games-future.htmlMane6 has been talking with Mike Z and Labzero, and it looks like if the Skullgirls indiegogo fund reaches $725k, then they'll give Mane6 the license to use the Skullgirls engine for their game.
