So, I have seen some animations on a few websites that I want to use for my projects, but they are not .gif files, nor are they easily downloadable.

I know that there are tools out there that one can use to capture and save an animated part of a screen as a gif that could be further processed for use. Barring that, I know you all have tools and method to rip sprites out of a game. Could anyone share those tools or methods with me?

Most of the tools and methods are game specific, so if you want a specific answer you will need to explain what game are you trying to rip sprites from

If it's on a website and it's not flash, you can use the old trick of viewing the page source and look for the gif or png link. Its time consuming, but easily done.

I think you can use JDownloader2 to download all sorts of items when browsing a site, that are otherwise not easily downloadable.

Animget had a newish release. Forget what it was called. I still have animget if anyone wants it. I have used it for ripping sometimes as its a pretty quick way to grab everything if you can turn off bg and powerbars.
