Firstly I'm not keen on the name CvS2 Reimagining because it seems closer to PotS/Infinite Style or what you wanna call it.
The Hit Spark and Sound choice is pretty nice though, obviously what 2dee uses in his videos but available.

i'd recommend swapping the blood effects for the blood froz's wolverine uses or something. those giant globs of blood do NOT look good.

though it could have something to do with your sparks being too big but im not sure.

I'm not a fan of cartoon mk sprite style but I actually like you sticked with the original mk blood.

Love what your doing man. I actually like the direction its going in. I would change the FX to Pots style hitsparks with the multi colored ones or make it an option so you can change them to either that or the other ones that you have.

Same thing with hit sounds too, where people can choose between the two. Also Froz has better blood sprites if you want to switch to those but its your choice.

Thanks, R@CE. I really appreciate the kind words.
And thanks to all of you for the feedback thus far.

You will be able to change hit sparks and hit sounds, as there are my hit sparks and sounds, and there’s also POTS hit sparks and sounds if they wanted to change those. That option has been present since my Sub-Zero and Wario, so that is all taken care of.

Many have been recommending Froz’s blood instead of the MK Blood, so I’ll definitely go check out what it looks like, and maybe I’ll have an option to choose either Froz blood, MK Blood, or no blood.

Also, my hit sparks will be down scaled, since after reviewing the footage, I also think that they are a bit too large.

I will keep the footage coming so there is more that you can review and give feed back on when you get the chance. Again, thank you all for the feed back you have given me so far. I really do appreciate it : )

About Sub-Zero, he’s a project of mine I haven’t uploaded to the guild. I’m relatively new in joining here, so all of my old projects haven’t been uploaded yet. After Scorpion, I’ll give Sub-Zero some polishing, and then I’ll upload him, along with a couple of other old projects. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Here, Scorpion's AI is now fully functional.

I'm going to add more patches very quickly down the line and I'll start to work on his Supers, his Fatal Blow, and Brutalities.

The Fatalities, Friendship, and Babality will be saved for last.

Once I add everything, yes I will release a beta.
I want to make sure beta Scorpion has all his moves, and the testing will be mainly to remove bugs and glitches that might be found.

Scorpion now has his first Brutality, the "Crispy" Brutality.

To get it, you need to hold forward+HP during the Burning Fist throw, before Scorpion takes off his mask. You also need to land the Burning Fist at least once in the match.

The Brutality conditions will be covered in the moveset.txt file when I release Scorpion to avoid any confusion, since Brutality triggers aren't the easiest to decode.

Did you check out that Scorpion I linked above using the same sprites? That has tons of moves too.. probably some of the same stuff you have plans to add if you wanna take from that

I have seen this MvC Scorpion. I already have an idea of what my Scorpion will be, so I'm not intending to take anything from the MvC Scorpion. If there are similar elements, it could be because these Scorpions are heavily influenced by MK11, and therefore will have similar moves and visuals. Gameplay wise, I'm not basing anything off of the MvC Scorpion, as my visions and ideals for gameplay are completely different, in case you were wondering.

Scorpion now has all his brutalities coded and ready to go.

His supers are also completed. Now all that's left are his fatal blow, friendship, fatality, and babality.

Once I've finished all his moves, I will release a beta for testing purposes to root out any bugs and game-play issues.

I feel like the KO confirm could come a lil' later into the fatalities, most notably the Heartless, the Out with a Bang seems fine though.

  • Kind of POTS style editor, except not really.
I found a bug with Scorpion's fire breath super: his skeleton head doesn't show up.
