Alright, here is my M-Kast game, mashed up from various sources.  If you want to know who made a specific character or stage, check that specific DEF file.  I know a lot of people think that this is crap, and I respect that opinion, but I'm still gonna release it.  It's a nice package to utilize to get a specific character, character pic, stage, font, life bar, or whatever else you want to take from it.  I know I didn't make a character or stage from scratch, but I did PhotoShop and code quite a bit on this game.  Like I said, I'm not trying to claim fame, I just want to share the monster game that I built, play, and enjoy the hell out of!  ^_^

GET THE GAME HERE!
http://mkmp.net/about336.html

Also, I just want to reiterate no, I did not draw or create anything, I simply downloaded all the content that I wanted and built it to my liking.

Like I've said before, "MUGEN and MUGEN content is like furniture from IKEA.  You didn't cut, sand, or varnish the wood, but ya did build that lovely entertainment set."  ^_^

I just wanted to put together a packaged game so others won't have to do the leg work that I did of scouring the net for characters and components and also to save others from having to tweak and code.  Also, please feel free to hack this up and scavenge whatever you want from it.  ^_^

Here are a few of the sites that I used to get everything my little MK loving heart desired:
http://mk-anthology.blogspot.com/
http://www.geocities.jp/ratonmalo_ar/index.html
http://mugenbinho.scruffydragon.com/
and by searching for various eSnips files.

I did have to tweak quite a bit in this game to get everything running smoothly, like the SFTM characters weren't running at all so I had to have some extra info added, resize them (they were tiny!  O_O) and I photo shopped their VS pose (I know, not the best and I apologize for the gargantuan Raul Julia head.  >_<), and Daegon was just a franken-spritted character with Johnny Cage's move set so I changed his fireball and shadows to red and I changed his shadow kick to a shadow elbow (Daegon is supposed to have a shoulder ram, but the elbow was the closest thing that I could find) to make him just a bit more unique.  I also had to PhotoShop a lot on Un-Cage-ed and re-size him as well (what's up with these tiny fighters?).  I stayed up all night rearranging the select screen so it makes more sense.  I've deleted some crap characters, kept who I wanted, and put all the multiple versions of a character together.
"I think I may need to rename this to:
Mortal Kombat Anthology feat. Street Fighter the Movie guest starting Eyedol
or
MKAfSTtMgsE

o_O

I'll just shorten it to M-Kast...

.......it's My C(K)ast of characters.

Also, as a bonus, there is a link to download Open BoR, an open source engine, like MUGEN, but for beat 'em ups.  I have included two Mortal Kombat ones, plus Crisis Evil 1 & 2, the Resident Evil beat 'em ups.  Enjoy!  ^_^

  • I've got ballllls of steeellll.
Has anyone else tried this yet?  This looks like it could be a worthy alternative to MKP, but I'd much rather hear a review or two before I download a motherload of files just to see it in action.

At first glimpse I thought this would be a "Dream-Kast" version of mortal kombat. ;)

thanks a lot: it works (better, lol) with altools...

when i read "This is a self extracting archive.  After you download all parts, just double click on the ALZ file, and it will extract:", i thought that no one program was necessary  ;D

 ;)

- this is a great game for all mk series fans: i love the fact that A LOT OF (if not all) chars are present in the game, even they're not complete.
- the idea of adding sftm chars is fun
- too bad all these chars use the mk-mugen common system: they have bugs in normal mugen
- i hope that you intend to keep on working on this project  ;)

---> congratulations!

Do you really believe it is necessary to add dozen versions of the same character? I don't even want to count how many sub-zeros you have there...  --; Quality over quantity mate!

That's what came in Indrid Cold's MKA and I like to give people the choice of who they want to play.  Also, people can hack up this game however they want and add it to their MKP or MUGEN game.  Build your own, that's what I did.  ^_^  I happen to like my little army of Sub-Zeros.

  • I'm just a passing-by Kamen Rider, remember that.
There are 2 Sub-Zeros. those are palette swapped clones  --; They don't deserve to be called Sub-Zero, CALL THEM SHIT-ZERO  ;)

oh tobi stop playing with robots and penises.

I got a great idea for you! Since you like adding countless number of the same character into your game I would recommend making own Street Fighter edition. There are so many Ryu out there that you could fill all the roster with it. People will love you for it! Brilliant isn't it!

How about I call them whatever I want?  ^_^  There are many Sub-Zeros, Hydros, and a Frost that do the same fucking moves.  Do we NEED all of them?  No, but I DO like the variety!  ^_^
