Actual TV on PC without additional hardware?

So over the weekend I was looking for a reasonable program that's basically the equivalent of cable/satellite TV for PC without using a tuner card or usb card or something. However, most of the services are lackluster. Most of them are "hey look at these random clips of whatever we compiled into a stream" or "here's the official website of the station you're trying to watch and look at these clips of some of their shows" or "we downloaded season x of this show and here it is for your viewing pleasure", which sucks.

What I'm looking for is something that is basically all/most of the channels you'd normally get on TV, but live. As in, I want to turn on my TV, and Show X will be on, and go to my computer, open up the program, go to that channel, and the exact same thing will be on. Hell if it's even focused in another timezone that'd be alright. So far, the only thing that I've seen do this is TVU but only with Comedy Central, I haven't really tried any other channels because the way they have it mixed up with so many other countries makes it fuck-all confusing.

Best thing I've found so far is TVU, but the way its range of channels isn't very great. No History, they might have Discover (haven't checked), no Spike, no MTV, no BET, no VH1, no G4, etc.

Yes I'm too lazy to go to my actual TV and watch it, but I just haven't...had time for TV? Eh.


Anyone have any suggestions? Or is this a lost cause?

:O Awesome, commercials and everything :D, just like I was looking for.

Shame they don't have Cartoon Network though. :(

EDIT: Anyone know any live American Cartoon Network streams?
