Melty Blood's second EVO placement.  Nice.

I suppose Marvel VS Capcom 2 was robbed of the chance it got in 2020.

No Samsho (2019) is a damn shame..
KOF15 is the only fresh and exciting game on the line up for me.
So many games in this lineup have got stale and boring

KOF and Melty are delightful additions, very deserving.

But fuck am I sick of almost everything else on there lol

I really hope we get more new games in the coming years. The pro to no Smash is more room for new stuff. But damn the current stuff is just so stale and boring to watch lol

They will announce their games sequel at least on the Evo for the old game Street Figher V has 6 years old, Tekken 7 has 7 years old
FigherZ has 4 years old  :yaoming: so its crazy how the time goes fast

FighterZ 2 and Tekken 8 being announced at EVO 2022 is the likely plan. Both are in dire need of better netcode.

We already know what happened to Smash Bros Ultimate, although the excuse I'm thinking is that Nintendo didn't want to support a Sony-owned event, their biggest rival.

Thought Smash Ultimate will be in since the final patch came. But eh, it is what it is.

More like a guarantee we are getting something from Capcom (SF6 news) and SNK (KOF15's next DLC).  Strive might show up with a teaser for future Strive/DNF Duel content but we will see.  Surprised Xrd Rev 2 is still be played for tourneys.

NRS has Mortal Kombat's 30th anniversary coming up so we might get a major eSports tourney announcement where they will then reveal future plans at their home turf.  Bamco, idk Tekken 8?  Feels like it's time for it.  Wouldn't mind another arena fighter.

Other news to look forward that might also happen is Skullgirls's Black Dhalia trailer, something releated to Virtua Fighter 5 U, Multiversus's Rick and Morty trailer and next beta date, and indie fighters stuff.

I also assume Riot Games' Project L (the League of Legends fighting game) will get a name reveal.

SNK already stated they had something prepared, so I expect, if they're next game is another FG, a "now in development" teaser for it.
But who knows? EXPECTATIONS may be SHATTERED.

Isn't Tekken 7 the oldest game on the list here? Dang, that game is still strong after 7 years of release.

Technically Skullgirls is the oldest before Tekken 7 was a thing.  Although Skullgirls is now going through a revival where as Tekken 7 has been consistent in EVO since its debut in the main event.  Don't see it bypassing MvC2's times in the main list tho.

I guess I can ask about , what do you expect for your favorite fighting game on the list to be announced? in my case Im waiting for SNK changes the gameplay mechanic of kof15 because if you don't know how to do forward middle jumps you will lose against hardcore players and FighterZ 2

Hopefully we get some announcements for the next games in the franchises featured in EVO like Tekken 8 for Tekken 7, new developments on upcoming games like Project L and interesting DLC showcases for games like Guilty Gear Strive, Melty Blood and KOFXV. But I'm honestly hoping for some unexpected stuff like any details on upcoming Arcsystem projects like the Under Night sequel, new fighting games that either nobody expected to come back( Darkstalkers and Bloody Roar) or IPS getting another chance to shine( Playstation All-Stars 2) and guest characters for games that we thought wouldn't be possible.
And there is the ultimate pipe dream that has INCREDIBLY slim chance of happening...MVC4. I know the likely hood of that happening is on the same level as pigs growing wings and flying but hey, Dreams Don't Die.

Don't worry, sf6 is coming next year, so the pros like tokido and daigo etc are gonna train hard on that and ditch sfv for good except for some who still participate usf4 side tournaments from the past events like poongko and smug for instance :P If no sequel for Tekken and the others, then it will still be the same :P

when will this personal crises ends? it just won't stop!
