Jmorphman said, June 05, 2017, 05:39:40 aman interview with Patty Jenkins, the director of Wonder Woman said:Q: This may be a cheesy question, but what do you want people to take away from this movie?A: Did you say cheesy? Cheesy is one of the words banned in my world. I’m tired of sincerity being something we have to be afraid of doing. It’s been like that for 20 years, that the entertainment and art world has shied away from sincerity, real sincerity, because they feel they have to wink at the audience because that’s what the kids like. We have to do the real stories now. The world is in crisis.I wanted to tell a story about a hero who believes in love, who is filled with love, who believes in change and the betterment of mankind. I believe in it. It’s terrible when it makes so many artists afraid to be sincere and truthful and emotional, and relegates them to the too-cool-for-school department. Art is supposed to bring beauty to the world. This is such a fantastic quote and sentiment. That is one of the most uplifting interview quotes in entertainment I've read in many, many years...
Not to mention that message doesn't get conveyed very well. They use most of these words and ideas in the dialogues as bedtime stories told to Diana as a child, they don't come off as true ideals
So some guy acted surprised that a character he never posted on Guild wasn't nominated for Guild's COTM. So I played along and downloaded the char andSaid character's readme said:RULES: DO NOT, I SAY DO NOT USE THIS CHARACTER FOR ANY BAD PURPOSES.BASHING (You must have an excellent reason for that kind of action), VORE EDITS, RETARDED EDITS, ETC.NO EXCEPTIONS MUST BE MADE.BREAK THESE RULES AND ILL BE FORCED TO GIVE YOU CONSEQUENCES.ITS TIME FOR ME TO LIVE UP TO MY FAMILY NAME AND FACE FULL LIFE CONSEQUENCES
Lol, he is even pulling a chuchoryu, he had a bad streak last summer!!!Poor him, we need to give him COTM!

The things people say when they're on the receiving end of moderation.Context:Spoiler, click to toggle visibiltyHis opinion was basically repeating "MUGEN is dead" over and over again, even if it was irrelevant to the conversation. Throw in a few, "IKEMEN sucks" and "Unreal Fighter is trash" and you basically get this guy's shtick.
Not sure if you're being serious or not, but if you are serious, then I totally agree.Elecbyte is gone for good, and MUGEN has no source code available.IKEMEN, however, is essentialy MUGEN with native online mode and a source code available, so IKEMEN does everything MUGEN does but better. So yeah, MUGEN has no future, unlike IKEMEN.
no hes not serious. also uhm no, mugen isn't dead and hasn't been. its been the same its been, a niche engine with a niche forum. a lot of the stuff you said is just dumb, ikemen is opensource yes but its based off an outdated version of mugen and is still very unstable at the moment.
Walruslui said, June 12, 2017, 10:05:38 amand is still very unstable at the moment.Outside of a few oddities like the poison glitch not working, the SuperPause invulnerability parameter being ignored and effects having shadows regardless of whether they're supposed to or not, IKEMEN actually runs pretty well. It's mostly just missing features at this point like BGM looping.
Both engines have their ups and downs, but I wouldn't call IKEMEN "very unstable". For everything MUGEN has or doesn't have, IKEMEN also has and doesn't have. And unlike MUGEN, the engine actually receives updates and can be edited if you know what you're doing (to either the engine or the character or whatever you're working on). Seriously though, how many times am I gonna run into this?
I just use both. I use MUGEN in single player because it's a bit more stable but I'm always open to IKEMEN with a friend. Ikemen allowed me to subject a close friend to one of his favorite MUGEN character's infinites. There was also that all-Ken roster session I had with another close friend. The horrors of "MVC" style with its damage scaling system compromised by IKEMEN being IKEMEN.
TrinitroRoy said, June 12, 2017, 09:56:39 amElecbyte is gone for good. The last activity of Elecbyte I can remember was when they are announcing a fullgame by Jeremy Patterson in their Twitter account, probably that was the reason why their website is currently offline and I don´t think they are gone for good, I think they will back but probably after a bunch of times.
