Hey the names Alex, Im kinda new to mugen but i can say im a big fan already. I love the fact that mugen has costume characters people have made so i decided to take that challenge myself. I consider myself an artist not a programmer so making my own character will be HALF as hard. Ill be asking for alot of help using fighter factory. anyway....lets get to the point...i decided to take on Kazuya cuz i love him in the Tekken series...he so fucking cool..cant help it...also...cuz hes 3d. it would be nice to see him kicking ass on the classic 2d action.

Well first off i would like to share some of my sketches first..its my blue print of kazuya..i use it to make my sprites.


 

Then became sprites....i was taught by a good friend of mine how to make sprites..im trying to get them as close as my kazuya on paper as possible.

KEEP IN MIND- THIS CHARACTER IS 100% CUSTOM.

HERES SOME GIFS they are really gay so excuse them..i suck at making gifs im just posting them to show u movement at least



All Commentary is allowed i need all the feedback i can get to make him better

His current moves are

Light punch straight jab
Med Punch straight switch punch
Hard punch Spining Back hand

Light kick torso area shin hit
Med kick Head area roundhouse
Hard kick High Axe kick

Specials
Mishima Uppercut
Kazama Combo
Super hard gut shot
Kazuya flying kick (does it in tekken 5)
heihachi mishimas Switch hitter. Double roundhouse in air (does it in tekken 5)

Super Specials

Kazama super spining uppercut

Devil Dive (he will grab opponents throat and fly really high in the air then come down slamming his opponent at very high speeds)Devil Jin does it in tekken 5

Devil Combo (he will just go nuts with alot of hits forming a beautiful combo  ;P)

Devils Sanctuary  (its a secret u have to wait for that one)

Try making a GIF of his stance so that his feet remain on the same level (remember he's staying on the ground?). Looks like you need to pay close attention to height on some sprites.

How about adding a Super Special Move that takes up about 3 powerbars to transform into Devil..Not temporary though because its a 3 powerbar special..

Try making a GIF of his stance so that his feet remain on the same level (remember he's staying on the ground?). Looks like you need to pay close attention to height on some sprites.
good catch with the feet i didn't realize that till now...also what do u mean by height??? cant i just resize him...should i make him shorter u mean???

Thats kinda what this move is going to be...it will take up 3 bars cuz i want it a powerful move if it takes him to turn into devil form...i was also thinking on making a devil version of him after im done with this one

If you rescale, proportions won't change. I'm talking about proportions. You cannot draw a new character without considering this thing if he is has to look properly. So get your sprites in Fighter Factory, set correct axises for standing sprites and see if his proportions are right.

Do u have the right sizes for the correct axises???
Just download Fighter Factory (you can easily find the download link), add your sprites using it, then align each sprite so the motion looks smooth and his feet belongs to their place. It's hard to explain how it should be, just open other characters using Fighter Factory and see. The program is user friendly, you'll be able to understand it without manuals.

i agree looks like a good design but your right looks to nice and the coloring should be a lil more crisp like guilty gear chars its not to hard to do that  :sugoi:

all of you have gave me good advice...its the main reason why i would post to get feedback. Trust me ill work hard on making him what he SHOULD be also...thanks for the advice on fighter factory...i should start learning how that shit works now so im not confused later.

ill make sure hes the kick ass kazuya ur waiting for
