-Believe it or not, Phantom made CPS2 Dictator but he assist Cammy. It motivated me to make him a full character :hyo:

I'm attempting on multitasking. While I'm extending Dictator's CS, I'm also extending Cammy, Juli and Juni. After I'm done with them, I will work on Dan and Sean. I wanna call this the CPS2 Shadaloo PotS Style project because I'm working on 4 of them but fuck that because I want to surprise y'all wth the Dolls of Shadaloo after I'm done with Vega / M. Bison :mellow:

Heh. Looks really good, pal. But again, isn't it a bit early to take so much on yourself? I think it would be better if you concentrate on a single character, but polished him at your best. Trust me, learning to polish stuff is something to do.
Also, a suggestion: how about rework his dashes to be of a "slide" type instead of "leap" type? You know, WITHOUT vertical movement and coming into landing state being dictated by timing instead of position (JMM's Ken is a huge example of that). It would work plain better for his kind of animations.
You would greatly benefit from reworking at least his animation timings to be more SFA3 too, but you're still new at this, so learn what you can for now. Good luck, fella!

The animation itself is good but it doesn't fit Bison at all. It's actually comical. It looks like he's struggling to run, which is what happens when you use a sumo wrestler as a base.
You can help with Ikemen GO's development by trying out the latest development build and reporting any bugs on GitHub.

I love the fact thatthe sprites actually fits with the style. But  I'm sorry to say that it doesn't fits at all with the Dictator. MAYBE something like a floating (no need to diagonal the body etc) would do the cut

If someone like Ahuron were to make their own custom Dictator, 99% of the time that running animation is what they will go for.

It's not bad, if the idea is creating the cartoon incarnation of Dictator a.k.a Mr. YES himself.

In fairness, lore-wise, later incarnations has him at a reduced powered state so running made sense.

On a 'serious' note, I personally never considered SFA Bison to be 'accurate', since to me is more 'cartoon-style' than other SF sprites. So I don't have an issue with this Bison to Run like that. In fact, if you want to make it a bit 'scary', just add his iconic smile. A big guy running at you with a grin could be scary.  :eaugh:

It's not just the expression, the whole body movement is comical. Changing the face will not work if you want to make him intimidating.
Either go with the floating animation as people suggested, or use his CvS run animation as a base. Personally I think the floating would be way cooler.

The original is very jumpy, even somewhat comical but it still fits Chun-Li




I agree the run animation doesn't fit Dictator. But by all means you can do whatever you want, you don't owe us nothing. So, keep going. The animation itself is very good.

It will be interesting to see you realize the especial intro you have in mind.

Hi man you might be just interested if not it's okay

After seeing Dees post on Guile and Bison on twitter, I remember this thread that i have seen months ago

I was thinking about that running Bison, So I rewatching that two anime scene, if there could be an inspiration for his running and walking cycles

all i can think about is that there are *two state* of Bison mostly, Poise Bison(floating) and angry/serious/mad Bison(walking)

the typical Alpha Bison when poise, gracefully and confident that moves back and fort or something like Demitri,



thanos run?



for as running he likes to charge attack his opponent while dashing and running not just plain running. i could imagine him always doing what rugal does or what zangief does in (Dash Attack) pocket fighter or either what zangief does in mahvel games when dashing (Dash Grab)




he could either do something any of the route depending on button press, when his dashing forward



1. Drags the enemy on the corner
2. Juggle/Anti-Air
3. Knockdown state on enemy

His always on offensive when charging forward and has a glowing hands in SF2V, he does that to Ryu in 4 separate occasion even in SF2V anime and also to Ken when fighting him alone, while he always used his elbows to someone attacking on the back he did that to Ken, Ken always gets the elbow while Ryu is always on the facepalm






Bison is also FAST on moving front and back of his enemies even without teleporting/translocation and having a slow movement when attacking

I remember Samurai Showdown 3 mechanic, "switching sides".





When not levitating and walking Thanos or Hulk walk state?

I was working on the Intro with Jmorphman but people keep calling me sprite swapper and it kind of ruin my motivation :ears:

He's done but not completely. All I have to do...

-Intros
-Re-Code his Running Animations
-Fix Hitboxes
-Fix Shin Bison's Knee Press Nightmare (MAX)


Trololo... I tried my best. I know you might be disappointed because I didn't use the emulator but he's ready ;D

Jmorphman... I did not want to release him without the intro with your Guile. I feel like shit. I'll try again :sweatdrop:

God told me when someone takes any template without re-coding. I forgot to re-code Quicksilver & Chun so that's why people keep calling me that. Dan & Bison was slightly re-coded. They're not sprite swaps because I worked very fuckin hard editing sprites. It's more like CvS to CPS2. I'm converting instead of spending years trying to figure out how to make characters while working on 10 games

I didn't do this for attention. I did it for Jmorphman and Trololo

Heh. Well, if that's a release now, then congratulations... but I would wait with release until you'd try to fix at least the most basic inconsistencies with your hitboxes.



I understand that you're just starting out, so you need to take the baby steps like spriteswaps. But leaving the original hitboxes, in this case, kinda makes your edit disfunctional as a character. So, put some more work into Bison and fix the hitboxes before I can try and give it a legitimate feedback, OK?

I told you Froz already CS'd Bison. Both versions in fact, to the best of my knowledge. (Alpha & CVS) Be more specific. You want it expanded? Is something wrong with what Froz did? If you're serious, then so am I. And will drop everything I'm currently working on to do this CS for that price, no problem. Though you need to elaborate more.

Yup... I fucked up real bad but hear me out... Froz CS Sprite Sheet was missing a lot of sprites. I found them so... I all I have to do is...

-Fix Some Intros
-UPDATE the hitboxes (HIGHLY Recommended)
-Apply sound for Shin/Final Mode
-Apply the OG running animation for Shin Mode
-Fix Shin Bison's Knee Press Nightmare (MAX)

-Then... I might do some sprites because I'm trying to extend it...
-To be honest I'm not ready yet because I'm "planning" on adding PotS's effects for Psycho Crusher

regarding dodging

you might be interested how Gundam dodge in Gundam Battlemaster PSX

I think this is the best way Alpha Bison would  dodge since his floating when moving and grounded when static EXACTLY just like the Gundam in this game.

I slowed down some frames to show the dodge animation in slowmotion
