Looks like I have a voice actor for Ruckus, so he should be released within a week or so, with AI to follow (I hope). Can't wait.

*Sigh* Bastard ! said, June 30, 2009, 05:50:15 pmI thought you were [E] !!! Send him a voice sample of yours, and we'll all see. 7 years of theater do that. To me, Ruckus would have a laid-back style voice.
Well, I have an actor lined up for Byrne, but I've always thought about giving The Specialist a voice. There's also Squall, whom I might do (I'm thinking about letting Dr. House just do his, and maybe I'll do Irvine or Zell, I'm a huge FF8 fan so I really want to do someone from that game). I could definitely use a voice actor though, my friends would help but my recording equipment is very basic (which is why Wyldestar's voice sounded so muffled). Do you have voice samples or demo reels? Let me know, I'm interested if you're serious. It wouldn't be the first time a fellow Guilder has voiced a character of mine (Chosis voiced Zenith). Thanks man.
Judging by this, you may see that I actually have decided to updae all SHADEs charactersto my new spriting style. Chad In Black was first because she needed it desperately. She also may be coded from scratch to fix her gameplay issues, but for rght now, I'm focusing on sprites. I'm still not sure who will get brand new sprites or just updated sprites with anti-aliasing and nicer shading, but as you can see here Chad In Black has a completely different outfit and brand new animations. You wil notice that I'm using Vanessa and Kain Heinlein as bases for many of her anims.StanceWalkingJump!CrouchSummoning a ghost to attackAnother summoning anim for varietyI'm a big fan of thetv show Bones, so her new outfit is inspired by one worn by Emily Deschanel in the episode titled "The Finger in the Nest." Let me know what you guys think so far. I will be posting her new palettes soon as well.

Demon Spawn said, July 15, 2009, 09:41:58 amHoly sweet mother. Those look amazing. How long did it take to make that? Thanks. It hasn't taken too long actually. She'd probably be done by now if I hadn't been working so much lately. I'm kind of in the zone right now. Working on her, working on Byrne, started updating Snow's shading as well. I plan on getting a good bit done tomorrow since I don't have much else to do.Sacchin said, July 15, 2009, 05:11:48 pmAs long as there is a normal mugen release, I am pleased.Maybe. Her gameplay needs a lot of work though. She was pretty much the worst character in SHADEs 1, sprites and gameplay wise. I'm hoping she turns out better. I'm changing all of her ghosts except for her main one (Klaus), and many of her moves will probably be different. I figure people won't mind since most people I talked to didn't really play as her much. Thanks guys, I'm pretty proud of her so far and it's great to hear some encouragement. Later!
I always had a bit of a soft spot for Chad, just because she handled nothing like the others. This update looks freaking AWESOME! I'm really looking forward to using her now... one suggestion though, maybe give her one or two physical attacks of her own, sort of an evolution of her character, she doesn't just have to fall back on the spirits to attack?Either way, I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the cast now more than ever.
Thanks for the compliments guys. I hope that she not only looks better, but I hope people realize she's a she now. Too many people thought she was a guy. Also, I do plan on giving her a couple of physical attacks, that's a good idea. It does show a bit of character development and what not. Thanks man.Anyway, here are the palettes I have:The fourth palette on the top row is the palette I'm using for color seperation. Her colors are seperated like so:HairSkinOvercoatButtonsGloves/Boots/SunglassesUndershirt/ArmbandsPantsSo there should be a fair amount of freedom for anyone who wants to make palettes for her at some point.More updates to come!
DjFoxfire said, July 17, 2009, 02:01:06 amXD Your character looks like Jeff Hardy. NICE! Unlike with Ruckus, I can't deny it this time. Byrne's outfit is inspired by what Jeff has been wearing a lot recently (the long sleeved two-tone spandex shirt).

While the idea is superb, it seems a little like you're losing your touch - I mean, you kinda stuck Andy's head on Adel's body and recolored it. Now, I have yet to see any attacks, but the basic states don't seem like much to work with. I'm not trying to be mean just to be mean, and I have nothing but respect for you as a Mugen creator with class and spriting talent. But Byrne's sprites DO seem beneath you.Off topic, am I the only one who thinks that Ruckus seems a bit....small?
