Thanks, guys!
Man, I'm really having a blast with these designs, even if it is debatable if they belong in a Resident Evil or not...

Another awesomeness from you! Puppet would need some "worms" at its head, but it's cool too *_*!!

Also, seems Alcina was also based in a photo from 1938 by Erik Holmen(Nordiska Kompaniet, Oslo). Also, dunno why but Heisenberg reminds me of Van Helsing(fun he's the head of the lycans while werewolves have always been direct rivals to vampires). And Moureau ressembles to that old film(Island of Dr. Moureau) with zooanthropes here and there. Yup, seems Capcom took some inspiration from fashion, literature and films :) !!

On the one hand, it's a nice looking sprite. On the other, I don't get why there are so many holes where the background would by seen through.

Odd. That's the first time I've seen sprites like that. It's definitely not what they usually look like in the games (for the reason I mentioned before).
Oh well, it's still a nice looking sprite.

I'm afraid the picture you used as a reference is broken, Nio.
Check the article it comes from and compare capcom's and snk's sprites.
https://www.ign.com/articles/2000/01/05/snk-vs-capcom-match-of-the-millennium-2
Snk's sprites look fine, but the capcom stuff is full of those "holes" mantioned by Toni.
Probably someone used anti-alias option while filling the picture's background and the background color "intruded" the sprites. (You can also notice that some of the outlines are brighter - it's because backround color and the black outlines had mixed).

It's still a great sprite Nio, far better than any of my attempts to this style.

I see, its strange, the image was pixel perfect, I worked on it as I downloaded it, no resize or anything extra, but seems like its the only place with the sprites in that way.

Thanks.

For a strange reason I cant reply to this thread on my celphone and I have tried several times, so Im trying on my laptop, if you read this, I was succesful.

Some Darkstalkers stuff done for fun.

Top row has official sprites for comparison (with Lilith's pose slightly edited to differ from Morrigan). Everything else was made from scratch.

These all feel very authentic. :2thumbsup: Nice work.
One thing that stands out, though, is that Huitzil feels more shaded than the others.

Thanks.

With Huitzil essentially being a single color, I felt that it would make sense to add some shading to him as his third sprite color. Maybe I overdid it a bit. :sweatdrop:

Standing anim, really struggled figuring out exactly what to do with it. I tried to base it off her actual DBD standing animation. Feedback still appreciated.

Another one of my pathetic attempts to this style.
Bunch of Tekken3 characters and SF6 Aki as a bonus.

I wish I was better in spriting this little motherfuckers.
At least I hope they came out decently enough.

Thanks Felo! Although I have to say that pocket sized sprites are quite challenging to me. Conveying all the importart details to such a small area is tedious task.
I need more practice!
