In this thread spriters should let the others know exactly what they are working on so we don't have several people trying to do the same thing at the same time. In addition sprites will be posted that need to be worked on.

I updated the 1st post. I need to add the partials Balthazar has made to the 1st post. And list what needs to be made. If any mods want to update the 1st post before I get to it to add any of that I'd appreciate it!

I just sent Sean Altly some $$$ so what animations should I prioritize him to make? The double legged hurricane kick and focus attack?

Ok guys we have some required animations to make.
Ryu's focus attack
@Felo_Llop: you are working on this, correct?


This needs to be completed. I think I'll just keep that for the attack itself. It's close enough to the two legged Hurricane kick.


This needs to be fixed a bit more

I don't think ChunLi needs any new animations

Birdie needs several but I'll probably have to sketch some concepts for them 1st
He needs a cheese ko animation though (fall from jab CVS2/SF3)

I'll take care of Ryu's focus, the uncompleted kick and the kick I started days ago(that opener) :)

I'm still working on Ryu's focus. I've used Ryo's punch for the result of it, if it's not a problem, added the head band, erased the knee things and added the gloves. Oh, and those side lines are erased too :P

As long as it looks good I have no problem with you using a base.

Not sure if I should post this here or not, but this could be useful. Also can use some fixing.



SFA3 Stance for CVS Ken. Still need fixes(jumpy right arm, some shading issues especially on chest area in one frame, missing dot shade in gloves), but I think it came out decent enough to share. SF Duo Ken will use this stance. It transitions well with existing sprites. 6 frames total.

Ryu doesn't need much else right? What were you planning for Birdie? Did Fido do any edits? Like dash/run/etc

Yes, Ryu's almost finished sprite wise. Still needs the far MK fixed, focus attack, and get up for comeback mechanic.
Jango commissioned Diepod for a run animation that is posted in the Birdie thread.
Comeback Technique 1 (defence type) = Chain Wall
- db+2P (backwards) or df+2P (forward) after being knocked down. Costs half a bar.
- Birdie hits the ground rolling forward or backwards leaving a small wall of chains where he landed. This wall stays in that location until it absorbs up to 3 hits. It has it's own push box against the opponent that does not effect Birdie.

[EX ]Bandit Chain
360 + 2K - Throws his chain out to grab the opponent and pulls them in. Less damage than SP version. (chain doesn't go super far, maybe another Ryu's distance)

Need a more powerful Bull Head anim for his Max Super ender on Bull Revenger.

He gets a new super throw for his third super art. I have an idea for the concept.

He needs a new kick alpha counter of some kind.

Some new get hits once we establish what all Ryu will have for certain. Like if we keep the diagonal spinning anime from SNK's influence. Cheese ko animation needed for sure.

Possibly more.

Capcom kept it after cvs2 so you should too :p. You could keep the Alpha 3 version to cut down on required spriting

A preview of what is to come:

I tried changing the face with another one from the existing sprites, but it didn't work as planned. I also have to finish the last "SF3" frame, and I made a new one (frame number 5). The timings in the gif are all wrong.

I went ahead and spoilered that for size purposes.

We discussed Zero de Armentis's Akuma sprite sheet in the 1st idea engineering thread Felo started. They are not ruled out but they are missing a ton of sprites and have several issues that are common with his sprites.

Thought I'd post this here. Did most of the ground work, but need help finishing this.

I made an early version of Cody's zonk knuckle. Not finished, but good enough to share and hopefully get help with. 2 versions.

Could use another frame or two, but the ground work is there. Asking for the experienced guys to help with this one, as the shading is terrible.
