All of these use Samurai Shodown II as a base. Is there a meaning behind this?

Well, from my experience with Jubei, I think I can confirm, that his "SamSho 2 Base" means "I tried to recreate SamSho 2 animations for SamSho3+ sprites". In SamSho 3+ characters don't have concrete throws and some of their buttons are lacking (specifically that poor single kick button agains SamSho 2's 3 kicks), and he chearly tried to poke at SamSho 2's animations there with Jubei.

Yeah, these would definitely help in the process of creating 6-Button Samsho chars, mainly of the CvS kind.

this is a really nice project...hope it becomes on some kind of fullgame

At the moment I'm also creating hitboxes with range reduction, just look at Tam Tam, this will facilitate the process of removing zoom in samsho maps, the characters are with punch and kick distance around 104 to 120 pixels at most, making that it is not necessary to move the camera away from the maps of the games, well I am doing everything myself and it consumes a lot of time, I am not an expert in this but I think I did a reasonable job, about programming chars it is difficult to do everything myself, someone should be interested in the project and look for me to help coding the chars for example, I would like an experienced user to make the 40 characters, many authors make the game not have speed, jump, inputs, blocking and stun standardized!

Yeah, I'm busy with professional hitboxes, I will show a preview of the hitboxes, I sent my discord on the main page, but no one contacted me so far!
I'm creating links moves = KOF!
right punch light, right kick light, right+down kick and other links, jump+down kick or punch in the air, etc.

Good suggestion brother, I'm working with a galford win, samsho 2 he throw a bone to poppy, Galford starting position more important that change first, I want to use current position for kanzo hattori, about kuroko maybe i will try this in the future!

Thank you for praising me brother, I appreciate it! About Iroha I just inserted the weak kick in the morning, I'm working with a lot of material alone without any kind of help, if you follow the initial page, there's an update alert, 40 characters, hitboxes a lot of work and consumes a lot of time, when the character's publications don't indicate its end, all already released are still being updated, check Iroha in the day!
