Index? U mean Index Colored? I tried doing Index just now and its still green ._.

Okay, try this. After you done put your port into the template, close everything in the template such as template port and background aswell. Then you index. After that put the the background color manually like I'm using pink background for all my port. You know how to put pink background right? Put ff00ff on the color table.

im using Photoshop CS6. I understand up to the Pink background. After i index it, i tried putting a pink background but it went over my Portraits.

This is where im at ._.

Ok, that's good. Ignore all the other layer at the right side including the pink layer that you already done. Now just do the index color, than put the color table pink. After that just save pcx format.

You not index your port, that's why the bg is still green.

WRONG!!!
you don't need to index the portrait just take away the background! 1.1 doesn't need any indexing...-_-

your already done just save the pic as a PNG!!! and your done. you don't need to index anything unless your using 1.0 or winmugen.

You can't assume he is wrong because after all this screenpack is for 1.1 AND 1.0 as well. Don't act like that to people who are trying to help out.

yes i can read the conversation and you will understand. the SeraphicWings IS using 1.1 version of the screenpack and i didn't mean to be evil or cocky or something. if it sounded that way then sorry.
also

I know about that PNG stuff. Problem is I don't know how you all do with PNG for 1.1. I have try using many custom port for screenpack with PNG format but it did not work. When I put the PNG port in sff file, open my mugen and the background port will be white. So I see someone here also has a same problem as me, and I just helping him because I only manage to do the port right with index same like the old mugen. It seem like I'm helping people here look like I'm doing a bad thing...

Make sure to save your .sff file as Mugen 1.1 in order to allow transparency.

After you modify your .sff on Fighter Factory, go to Sprites>save as. Choose Mugen 1.1 and overwrite your old file. (make sure to back-up the old one in case anything goes wrong)

Ahh i see so 1.1 doesnt need Indexing.

So once i put my ports in, i just hide the BG color to make it transparent and i save as a PNG and inject it. Then i save my SFF as 1.1 to allow transparency.

Now i can do my whole roster! :3

My guess would be no, because he would need to get the permission from all the characters authors to put them up.

The whole point of this is to be a Screenpack, not a full game. The game is moleboxed in the stages/sounds etc. But the char folder and select are there to put your OWN characters in. If you want the roster he has, then the best u can do is look at it and download the chars urself bud :l

@SeraphicWings: I agree with you. This is only screenpack. Permission from all characters authors maybe impossible.
For easy creating template, you can use GIMP.
