Hey there, It's been a darn awhile!
So, I have been playing around with Gudine's Version of Sumireko, and with that, she taunts for no reason during rounds!
The same thing happens to most MUGEN characters, and I don't know why.
Can someone think of this issue?

Well, does this happen while player controlled or while AI controlled?

It's the AI controlled.

Are you aware of what a taunt is, especially in the context of a fighting game
Nevermind, there's nothing I can do
Bet your life there's something killing you
It's a shame we have to die, my dear
No one's getting out of here alive
This time
What a way to go, but have no fear
No one's getting out of here alive
This time
It's a shame we have to disappear
No one's getting out of here alive
This time, this time, this time

  • I like to draw fighting game characters...
Seems like you asked similar things about Touhou characters in the past.
If it's not just chatting you can try this. (I'm not a specialist in coding)

-Launch mugen
-Select this character in Training mode
-Ctrl+D to display debug mode
-Do the taunt and check the state number in Debug informations.
-quit Mugen
-open this character's  CMD with a text editor.
-Ctrl+F for looking for
-Look for the state number you saw on debug informations
-Look for the conditions this move happen when AI is activated.
-Edit the conditions to whatever you want - or just reduce the value of "random" in one of the triggers. if there is one.

Also. make saves before editing anything.

It's probably intended by the author.
Older fighting games had random taunts here and there during the fight and maybe the creator wanted to recreate something similar.
