Not that I'm planning to use them one day, but I'm saving them all, just in case. :)

Then you open the GIF with a program such as Photoshop and you extract each frame from it.
Since it's a GIF, you already have the 256 color limit, and I guess 2OS has indexed everything properly for direct use.
You convert each extracted frame to pcx, et voilà.
