Honestly just do the characters you like the most, don't matter the popularity of them.

I'm just curious, I simply wanted some input. Think I made a decision though, I think I'll go with the "rage of the dragons" characters, they sort of look like capcom, hopefully I can find some modified, 6 button versions of them? fingers crossed

Do what you like or what you feel can be interesting in Mugen (not done yet)

Some stuff about 6 button ROTD. You may encounter sprite limitation because some of ROTD characters have very limited repeted canimations even for a 4 button character.
So, if you can sprite or make custom anims, 6 button character would be possible.

Would you aim for the "popular" POTS style ?

Try simple for the begining

yeah, I had a unfinished POTS version of Elias, and its going to be hard to make 6 different attacks, specially jumping and crouching ones, but you can use the same animation and just change the velocity of them, a ton of old SF characters do that.

Yes! And with minor editing you can create new ones.
A good exemple of that is SFA Rose. all her normal moves are using same base :
I mean her crouch attacks are based on her stand attacks, and same for her jump attacks.

Exemple with Rose : stand crouch jump

honestly I didn't thought about it.

I'll like to finish/remake that unfinished char, the only thing I want to know is how to make POTS FXs insteed of using the spritework proyectiles.
