i don't remember magical swords being part of his legend.His entire legend is going against two monsters and a dragon, and every time, he gets a magical sword, and he breaks it, so he has to finish the job with his hands (he's given Hrunting as a reward for killing Grendel, then Hrunting breaks against Grendel's mother, he picks some other sword in her cave and kills her but it breaks, then he gets Naegling, and decades later that one breaks too against the dragon, always because Beowulf himself is too strong for the weapon).
That's why his NP is him giving up his useless swords and going JoJo with his bare hands because that's how he kills monsters.
If I struggled to the end of my determination, to the end of my way of life with my followers, if the result is ruin, then this ruin is inevitable. Grieve. Shed tears. But you cannot regret.
