Super Mario World 2 Yoshi's Island Stage. Originally by Electro. I made 2 rescales for 2 different Yoshi characters and made a lot of the foreground layers transparent so the characters wouldn't be blocked. I also fixed a minor zoffset issue on the included Original Scaling version

Pyron's Stage. Originally by JC and Vinceson. Fixed the sliding floor. Removed blinking pixels on animations along with other sprite edits to clean things up. Repositioned the jewel to hide it's cut off bottom. Faked some of the left statue into existence to hide the fact he was missing big chunks out of his left side.

Pyron's Stage. Originally by JC and AVPBoy. I fixed the sliding floor. Hid the cropped off art on the right side of the stage. Fixed the issue that caused background elements that were intended to be hidden to be revealed when you jump. Edited sprites to remove blinking pixels and removed the blocky fragments off the sides off the background vortex. I moved the jewel down a pixel to hide the fact it was cropped off. I also repositioned some other elements.

Pyron's Stage. Originally by Jin Kazama. I tightened the sliding floor a little(it wasn't too bad). I faked some of the left statue into existence to hide the missing chunks it had on it's left side. I removed some blinking pixels from animations and removed some stray lines from the spinning cloud. I edited out a big gray square on the floor art so it transitions into the background smoother.

Super Mario World Stage. Originally by RedDragonCats17. I was originally going to rescale the stage to make it feel correct with Mario but since you are walking on a foreground platform I decided I only really needed to rescale that. The stage also used to be one static image. I separated all the art into 3 main layers to add the illusion of depth.

Mortal Kombat Stage. Originally by AVPBoy. This stage edit was a request by Modified B13. I edited the flame sprites to remove blinking pixels and I also corrected the nasty looking transparent lighting effect that you can barely see. I also added more fish and fixed a layering issue regarding them. I flipped the shadow angles too so they weren't oddly climbing the wall. I wish I could've done more but I honestly wasnt seeing the issues I was requested to fix.

I animated the clouds and the sun and I added the bird animations, the spear enemies, and the water leaking from the castle. I also fixed a zoffset issue.

Super Mario Bros All Stars(Super Mario Bros 2) Stage. Originally be jewel men10. I rescaled it, added movement and bubbles to the Wart animation. I threw out all the fuzzy/dirty video rip art and replaced it with accurate sprites and recreated all the animations using Mugen's internal scaling code. A Bug's Life(N64) Stage. Originally by Fenix Azul. I cleaned up some bad rip damage on the foreground roots as well as cleaned up the background art some. I also added transparency to the foreground roots so they werent blocking the lifebars along with some delta movement. I also fixed an alignment problem with the background. Then I went the extra step and made a AI upscaled Hi Res Version for 1.1 users.

I moved the stars down some to hide the fact they were cut off on the bottom. I fixed a transparency issue on the floor blocking an animation from being completely hidden on the rims. The rotating star was misaligned making it's animation look jerky and one of its frames had incorrect timing so I fixed both of those issues.

I fixed the flash/smoke animation to not hang on pure white and to fade out more smoothly. I fixed the resize damage on the background and then ai upscaled it to look nicer. I fixed the weird animation error where the jumping soldier just grows like 10% in size for no reason at the end of his animation. I adjusted the grenade animation to work better and not strangely change sizes in the middle of it's movement.

Youre right. I missed that. Putting the p1start and p2start to about -135 and 135 seems to fix it.

On some of the older edits that I havent posted yet. I bet this problem will crop again because I didnt realize it was something I was supposed to be checking after rescale until later.

While I could do that, I feel like there is no perfect solution. Asking people to click on spoiler tags feels like asking a lot of their attention spans and this thread already depresses me because it feels like this is where all my stage work goes to die and not get noticed. If everything is hidden by default that just makes it worse, but yes I'm probably going to have to do that if people are having issues. Might even have to do something like Carmell's Stage Surgery Thread 1-100 and another completely new thread for the second hundred.

I'm working on fixing the AOF stages you mentioned. At least what's actually broken. Some things are visual aspects from the source. You mentioned my Lee stage from AOF 1 had
no animations? Which one? The SNES version or the Arcade version? I made both.

Took me some investigating to find the answer. I had to download all the Lee stages again. I thought I was going crazy for a second because none of the stages were completely frozen.

It's not that your stage isnt animated, it's that it's not fully animated. Youre missing at least one of the animations. The black white striped sign just right of the gong.

EDIT: The bigger issue than that sign is that the 1.0 has the sides of the stage and the bottom of the pillars clipped off by the floor.

If it makes you feel any better you still had the best stage most of the time.
