The King of Fighters Arena is now here and has launched into beta on IOS, Android and even PC at the very start! For PC there is proper button mapping.


The game is in all essence the pvp mode from The King of Fighters All-Star. They have made a few crucial changes such as blocking when walking backwards as in the real games, universal MAX mode and way more of a balanced feel when it comes to the actual matches. Cards are not involved whatsoever as of this time. Everyone more or less feels how they do in Dream Match in All-Star.

The entire roster is available from the get-go (which is pretty much the KOF 97 roster barring Saisyu) and there is even training mode with TRAINING OPTIONS, that is actually genuinely cool.


The gacha mechanic revolves around upgrading the mastery of your characters by rolling for "cartridges". Still hasn't really broken the game as of yet but expect some shenanigans as time goes on.


And yes, as many have figured, NFT's are involved in the game and minting is apart of something called "controllers". For now they don't do much but again take it with a grain of salt and if NFT's are a deal breaker for you then let it be known now they are in the game.
