Ok, so I'm dealing with a minor problem here. It happens when I use Evil Ryu Mrlyly edit and Juri Han by Chuchoryu.
Also happens with Big bang Beat chars as well.

an example. Mugen 1.1 is setup as OpenGL. same thing happens in system. Is there a fix for this please? Thank you.

I don't know if it could be the issue, but maybe the command mask=1 is missing for those sprites?

hmmm That Im not sure of.
thats in the states files correct?

Find the place of this sprite in the attack stuff (locate it with the number of the sprite), and check if this line is there, or not.
I had a trouble with a sprite that was appearing with black, and not transparency.

[Replace this by the name of the attack or effect]
type = normal
spriteno = 15,0
mask = 1
start = -320,-300
layer = 1
iD =1
velocity = 0,0

Question is WHERE can I find it. What file?

I think i follow, but i dont see any instance of "Spriteno =" in the state file.

I tried searching just the Sprite Group Number and i found a few instances of those and i tried adding Mask = 1 to them but it did nothing :(




This is what it normally looks like. Its like this for every regular BBB char.

Again, i cannot find Spriteno = in any of the state files for my BBB chars.

I'm pretty sure it was one of the bugs with the recent Mugen 1.1 beta build, as stated here, but I might be wrong.

New bug, transparent explods appear completely black. Don't overwrite alpha 4 yet!
Thanks to that black explod bug, this beta is actually worse than the alpha because that's something affecting the majority of characters. Will wait until that is fixed then try again.

So its better to roll back to Alpha 4 so the Black Transparecy Bug is gone?

sounds like it to me.
might as well go back to alpha then.
EDIT: again where do I add the mask code? this is pissing me off here. Im doubting this would work for characters because as I researched it was for stages...
I need transparency for the effects sprites on the character, not stage.

Well, seems this 1.1 Beta Transparency bug is on all of 1.1 even alpha 4.

I tried it on Alpha 4 and got the same thing.

I tried it on 1.0 and it worked like a charm.

Problem is, 95% of my chars are for 1.1 (aka have ports in PNG thus are invisible in game on 1.0). And i have alot of chars.

Switching to 1.0 is almost impossible...

My bad.
I had this trouble in an intro, for my chars.. And it doesn"t work like that for chars, indeed. This parameter seems to work for stages and stuff.
So it's maybe more in the field of this bug.

its a character sprite transparency problem.
we would like to know if there is a fix for this yet so we can get the chars we want for our mugen in 1.1 without problems.

That's stage code. It wouldn't work in a character. Characters don't have "mask" parameters to set in their State Controllers.
