Arcana Heart 2 Lifebars by Kohaku

Lifebars from the all girls fighting game Arcana Heart 2.

To install these lifebars open up your system.def file in your data folder. Under [Files] place this after the "fight = " part.

Ex:
[Files]
fight = Arcana_Heart2/fight.def

of

If you want to use the custom version:

fight = Arcana_Heart2/custom.def

The custom version is just like the title says. You will be able add the specially designed custom portraits (9000,200) for your characters and use them for the lifebars. Please refer to the read me in the portraits folder of this download to find out how to add the portraits to the characters.

Before anyone asks, the reason why I didn't use the round animations from Arcana Heart 2 is because the rips that were available to me had a really messed up palette which I had no clue of trying to fix. Hopefully next time I'll be able to have a work around this.

Also, I used the defualt name font instead of making my own is because characters will more often than not have a long name that will stretch out of the name box and seeing as the default name font solves this issue as keeping the name into the box even with characters with long names, I thought it was more efficient as well saving the hastle of you renaming your characters just to fit within the name box.

Well the portraits on these have the heads coming out of the lifebars, and the KOF ones do not.  So I am assuming you can't.

Very nice lifebars. Everything's looking colorful and classy. :)
Only thing I don't like much is the font used for the names. Looks like the default ones.

You mean KOFXI, right ? In fact, I just did this, and it looks really good too. So if you're lazy and don't want to build many custom portraits because you already have KOFXI lifebars (by Vans for example), you can just change these lines in the custom version :
p1.face.spr = 9000,11  instead of  p1.face.spr = 9000,200
p1.face.offset = 5,2   instead of   p1.face.offset = 22,38
p1.face.layerno = 0  instead of  p1.face.layerno = 1
Do the same for p2, using -5,2 for the offset, and do the same too for the simul and team modes, et voilà :

Yeah, I did use the default name font only because I wanted the names for the characters to actually fit within the box considering that a lot of characters have names that would stretch outside of the box if I used a font that was similar to the source game's.

You could have always used a custom font, like with your Unthinkable Natural Law bars (hell, same font would've worked, just white).

Funny story actually...I was thinking of using those fonts, but seeing as I used them (albeit a different color) in most of my lifebars I thought it was time I used a different font.

Though I kind of chose poorly (and lazily...) by using the default font.  :-X

Hisui, about that center ring I'm sure I can create an animation like that for you.  I would do it in blender though as it will be easier to model it.
