Mortal Kombat for regular Mugen 1.0 (not MKP!)

This Game will have:
at least 20 characters to choose
custom screenpack and lifebars
MK1 Stages
Intro + Ending

Roster:


The MK1 Chars will have the following features:
-MK1 Sprites reduced to capcom size
-speed up MK1 gameplay
-M3 run and crouch punch
-Special Moves from MK1 to MK3
-Fatalities from MK1 to MK3
-Messatsu's Character Trait Identifiers
-Mike Obrecht's Fatality Frames, Colored Blood Script and Fatality System
-patched for -SYN-'s interactive Stages
-compatible to Borghi's Peketo

I will also release all Chars and Stages seperatly.

Sonya Blade

My very first char ever.

Liu Kang

original Creator = Mike Obrecht
He created that char but never finished it. Instead he made this char open source.
I added new Fatalities, missing Sprites and Sounds and fixed the special moves.

Dee Jay

After competing in the StreetFighter Tournament,  Dee Jay now enters Mortal Kombat to get even more famous.

Goro

He is big, he is bad and very uncomplete :P Since he has no air block or crouch, I have to rewrite more than with the other chars and this will take some time.

Scorpion

Reptile

He will combine the MK1 Special Moves from Sub-Zero and Scoprion. But I am not sure what Fatalities he will get at this time.

Sweet. if those charcters and stages are in the first beta, I will surely play.

BTW, this game so needs Akuma, and Ermac like George said.

EDIT: Doink is in this game?  If you were gonna use someone from WWF Wrestlemania Arcade, it's better to use The Undertaker.

I allready thought about putting in Ermac and you might have noticed, that there are still 2 slots with no char.
Even if he won't take one of those 2 slots, I always got enough space for some hidden chars, right?  ;)

To be honest, I don't know for now if he will be a fully playable character, since Wrestlemania Arcade Chars don't have crouching animations or attacks. Maybe he will be appearing on a fatality and maybe more chars from that game will appear. Or maybe I am able to create crouching sprites for him by myself. Time will tell.

Instead of Doink, don't add him in the game for anything, and replace him with Ermac.

If you plan to add more characters to this game in the future, I would love to see Vega. His claw could be used for fatalities.

EDIT:  if Motaro is gona be in this project, you're beter off putting MK3's Balcony stage in it.  It's his stage, and I bet he wouldn't be caught dead in Goro's Lair.

There may not be a kombo system, since kombos were not implemented until MK3, and this project is based off of MK1. That, and the Toasty man wasn't present until MK2.

I suggest keeping Doink in the game, but as a secret char, like some kind of easteregg.  ;)

MK vs the combined Realms of SNK
MK vs the Super Smash Brothers

MK Deadly Alliance - the Mugen Port
MK Deception - the Mugen Port
MK Armageddon - the Mugen Port

and lets not forget the Mortal Project to remake Mortal kombat.

Like I wrote before, I allready thought about Ermac and since I got now requests for him, I will create him for my project. BUT Doink will be in the game, one way or another ;)

I will see what more chars I might add when every char is almost finished.

For Motaros stage, maybe I will do a balcony remix with MK1 Sprites, just like I did with ryus stage.

Dan "Toasty" Forden will pop up sometimes when you successfully hit your opponent with an uppercut. Like Spikeriley wrote, there won't be a Combo-System since it's mainly a MK1 remake.
About making chars accurate, well, I will do my best to make them accurate, but it will all be faster, since MK1 was way slower than StreetFighter2 or Kof.

Thanks, leave some feedback here after you have tested the char. And yes, I plan to create Stryker for my project  ;)


btw, I have finished The Pit, I have also added flying objects in the background.

Yes, that's why I allready released betas of 3 chars (look in the first post).
The Chars have a file called "sframes.txt" which explains what sprites you need to add to a non MK Character to be able to rip his/her head or body ect.
Also I want to create for all decap fatalities alternatives so you can still do those fatalities on chars that do not have those special sprites.
