Help me RIP rival shool sprites please?

i didnt know where to ask this but does anyone know how to rip sprites off the game?
any help would be greatly appreciated!

Well for starters, Rival Schools is a 3D game and uses models instead of sprites.

no really though, i know ive seen street fighter EX and MVCi characters converted to mugen and i was just wondering how they did it.
im willing to put in the work to get the sprites i just dont now how.

They did it poorly.

Short version: They take a bunch of screenshots and proceed to crop from them.

Ive seen some of these rival school characters on a mugen recently. They were in 2d and probably custom but well done. It was in that capcom vs snk rev 3. You might be able to pull them out from the character folder.

3D to 2D is often difficult and requires at least some process of drawing or alligning from scratch.

Fellow MUGEN creator Chuchoryu does smth similar with TEKKEN and other stuff and I can tell he took lots of time and effort to redraw a 3D model into 2D.
That's why it looks so crisp compared to screenshots sprites.

Besides, screenshotting/framing them loses the chances of making palettes and that is a big no no for many MUGEN fans...

grab a PS1 emulator, disable backgrounds (this might be tricky to do) and capture the models in all of their states. try to get yourself a lossless capturing software that can capture 60 fps. I have no idea which one is best but im sure the ones used to capture 2D sprites on MAME would work with a ps1 emulator.
