FAQ

Q: Which version of MUGEN will this project use?
A: The project is going to be done for MUGEN 1.0.

Q: Those are a lot of characters! How many of those are done?
A: Sprite-wise (also considering sprites done by Capcom itself), almost 3/4 of characters are done/close to be done. The others are WIP's.
Code-wise, just a pair are done, while the others are being coded. We have permission for some characters, like Hauzer, Megaman and Hayato, and even if they're coded, I'm talking only about the chars done in our current template (tag system implemented).

Q: Can we expect a demo soon?
A: Yes. It will include Ryu, Chun-Li, Alex and Leo. It will include 6 stages too.

Q: Are you planning to add more characters?
A: Not right now.

Q: Are you planning to release any character separately from the project?
A: The idea is to release all (or most of) the characters once the project is finished. There'll be some releases through the development of the game, though.

Q: Will this game have any universal mechanics? Beyond the basics like supers or whatever, anything like a universal overhead, no air blocking or dizzy? (by Cazaki)
A: The Capcom Fighting All-Stars system is basically a custom Versus Series gameplay.
- 6 Buttons: 3 punches, 3 kicks
- Super Jump
- Dash Forward and Backwards
- Custom system like air dash, double/triple jump, wall cling, flying; this will depend of the character
- Blocking (Stand, Crouching, Aerial)
- Aerial Rave
- Advancing Guard
- Zero Counter
- Special Moves
- Tag In/Tag Out
- Hyper Combos
- Team Hyper Combos
- Delayed Hyper Combos
- Dizzy
- Crumble (probably only for Cheese KO, although if useful, will be used in some attacks)
- Wall Bounce
- Midnight Bliss
- Custom states against different characters (2 so far, Phoenix Wright is one of them)

Feel free to ask more questions if you have any.

Well I'm the first to ask a question, will this game have any universal mechanics? Beyond the basics like supers or whatever, anything like a universal overhead, no air blocking or dizzy?

Thanks Cazaki: I'll explain the basic system :).

- Custom states against different characters (2 so far, Phoenix Wright is one of them)

We're trying to get a experience closer to MvC1 than any other Vs. incarnation ;).

I still say shock should be in, since there's Crimson Viper and Necro (and I guess Batsu in a way?) but hey, that's just me!

Though I have to admit, now that I look at how much is in this, I can see why this is taking years to do lol. That's a lot of different systems you're putting in there! x_x  Though I guess MvC1 is the best one to choose from (at least it's not MvC2/3...where things can get ridiculously broken).
