Last Sunday, an attempted car theft in Seattle was thwarted by a super-hero, and when I say "a super-hero," I don't mean that in the sense that, as Superman says, we can all be super-heroes if we do the right thing and care about each other. I mean a dude in a bulletproof costume with a codename and a secret identity. Specifically, this guy:

i don't think chasing someone away from a car they're about to break into really counts as super-hero work. maybe if he defeats some intergalactic ultra mutant in a battle that drags out over 3 days and half the continental US.

Didn't you watch Batman. It is all about escalation. It starts out with a car thief and moves onto a Bank robbery and then pretty soon, the mob, and then Finally Keith Ledger's zombie shows up and we are all fucked.
