You should have fixed the hair so that its shading was CPS2 styled and it was behind his back, instead of making a frankensprite (ie copy and paste pieces of different sprites to make a new one, with no edits).
It looks too lazy as it is now.

Your take on CPS2 sprites never cease to amaze me. All of your sprites in the style so far look authentic to the point it could be passed off as official work.

Cute, but not really CPS2 style in any way. I'd suggest studying up on sprites from whatever game you want to reference (Street Fighter Alpha, Darkstalkers, Cyberbots, etc etc)
Couple examples to help ya get started

But i'd also suggest you look deeper in to these games and how they do sprites, first thing to note about CPS2 is that theres a color limit. 16, one for the background, 15 for the actual sprite

Felt like giving Cammy the X-ISM treatment, just like they gave good ol' Chun-Li.




Palette is from SFA3. Used it because it was obviously SF2 inspired.

I wasn't gonna post this here but I figured I should give it some exposure.

Most people are fully aware that while MvC's Iron Man and War Machine are depicted pretty different in official artwork, WM's spriteset is just a palette swap of Iron Man. Admittedly it took me a while to actually realize this, which is why I decided that it needed to be rectified. My plan was to edit every sprite to reflect the design difference. Then I realized how many sprites I would be editing, how long it would take, etc. and while it's certainly not impossible, I have other things that take priority.

This isn't a final redesign, as some details are still missing, but it shows the general direction I was going in.



Admittedly I would like to prioritize it a little more, but I also would like to have some assistance as things like this are better off done with team effort. Not necessarily a request, just a dream of mine. If anyone would feel inspired to take something like this up on their own, however, then by all means feel free.

I did the same thing as one of my first CPS2 edit attempts years ago (see my Graphics thread), but it’s fun to see someone else give it a try. :)
