Kugami Toru from Crimson Alive: Extreme Encounter
by Daniel9999999

This is my 2nd Crimson Alive character, and as such, attempts to recreate the feel from the game while altering the gameplay to my tastes. And making it more fun.

She has a four button gameplay system, her gameplay is heavily juggle inspired, so go nuts with the comboing. For more details, check the readme.

This is still in progress, and more things will be fixed and added as you suggest or tell me, have fun!

I'm glad to see that she's released. She's hella good so far.
Is finding MUGEN to be more enjoyable to play when you're not wearing clothes an underrated opinion?

Tweaked aerial hit velocities for a couple of moves, and no, I won't add the Ice Car, so pls don't ask for it DF, and no, it's not even hidden on palettes 7-12. Added one last winpose.

so I downloaded, I must say. I really like what you did with the combo meter, it feels like I'm gonna win something if I get a long enough combo lol.

Talking about winning, do those points at the bottom do anything? Or are they just there to look cool?

They are for show off yeah haha.

The combo counter's cap for the sounds is 26 hits so go nuts trying to get that many. :P There's many ways you can increase the length of it.

Alright. Decided to go ahead and try this character out. I've actually only got one real problem.
- Jumping Normals shouldn't have FaceP2 = 1. Leads to weird crossups and in general abnormal behavior in general when it comes to fighting games. If you want her to have a nifty crossup, Jumping A would probably be the most sensible to be granted a crossup hitbox.

But are there truly grown men in this world?!

Looking myself in the issue, I found out she uses custom AI walking state, but it's properly coded, so it's either something else broke, or it's the recovery state of the other char. Who made this Juggernaut present there?

So I went and looked and it is the AI Patch's fault, I'll explain the bug:

Toru after recovering gains control as the launcher tells her to regain control. As she does Juggy is still in an attacking state and Toru tries to guard. However, the guard state is changed in the following way:



Without the AI, the behaviour is normal, however, if the AI is active, she checks whether the opponent is on the ground or in the air, if it is in the air, she'll block high, if it's not, she'll block low. HOWEVER, given the binarity of this it overrides airbone status she had while falling, which causes her walking detection to trigger:



Since it checks whether she's not in the air, and she'll have falsely set the ground flag whilist in mid air, she'll walk in the air and even sink through the floor due to her y-velocity not being reset.

I'll notify the AI creator ASAP

I will fix it as soon as I can, but if you want to fix it by yourselves,
just add this trigger in [state 120] in the screenshot :

triggerall = statetype != A

then AI won't walk on the air again.

This is just asking for overhead abuse.

AI fixed.
Now AI only change statetype when it is not in air. And I added 'posset y=0' state to [statedef 19] to prevent walk in air or underground.

If there is more bugs, I will fix it ASAP.
And once more sorry for that.
