I find that manually picking colors for a sprite is tedious, so I use Sonic Robo Blast 2 palette for convenience, like with this guy. It's a sneaky little trick of mine to save time.

I first learned about Freakazoid from Imaperson's YTPs. You never know how one thing will lead you to another, and with the instantaneous nature of the internet, it is both exciting and frightening.

Is this made from scratch? Looks really good, looks like it's from some official game.

It is. I never wanted to get in the habit of sprite edits.
I appreciate your responses, thank you for them.

Brose at the HDBZ discord had a contest of animating a flaming projectile; this was my entry. It doesn't take a lot to animate, so don't limit yourself by going overboard in ambition. Start with shape sketches like here.

It looks like he's charging up one hand then punching with the other. What sane man punches a spinning axe. ;P

It was showing before, now it returns a "you don't have permission to view this page" error.

Ach! I was hosting from my Google Drive, which is a little convoluted to use for forums. Apologies.
This is the same gif hosted via DropBox; please let me know if it works now.

Here's another animation sketch for you.

Thank you Grunt.

WIP of a reclining Akuma. The reference sprite is from iammanyninjas.
(ignore the cat, he's there for decoration)
