Yeah I'm not really sure if I'm satisfied with it. I might go with him having soft floats forwards and backwards instead of walking.

lol!

I think he needs to curl his fingers more to get that "bring it" feel.

If I may ask, what's wrong with just walking backwards with his arms crossed?  I'm sure it's been said, but I'm just not feeling that animation, it doesn't feel right.

I think he was going for a bit more originality.

It looks a bit much like he's frowning or angry, as opposed to a cocky grin type of deal you'd expect with the whole "Bring it" idea, although honestly walking backward isn't really used enough for it to be a noticeable thing in-game :P

If you see a Diverien, it's almost definitely me. So say hi :D

^ You guys sure do love to nitpick things to oblivion in this thread... the animation looks perfect if you ask me.
Holding one's mouth in a neutral closed line doesn't read as "frowning or angry".  And folding one's arms mid-battle is evocative enough of the cocky "Bring it" feel, Balthazar was going for here, what's the problem guys?

Yeah, about the run, I wanted to honor your subtle changing of the upperbody, but it wasn't that neccesairy to me,
since he'll move really fast anyway.
Damn, some people like the smile, others don't XD!
I guess we'll make a seperate .sff at the end; one with a smile and one without it.

EDIT:  ^ yeah he does!

Maybe try moving the later frames of the flip down a little successively?  It looks like he starts to fall quickly out of the flip, and then his gravity kicks in and slows him down when it starts.  If he moved down a little during the flip it might get rid of that apparent stall in speed.  Looks great none the less.  Super fluid as per your usual.

I wasn't trying to be an issue, I was just saying if someone like me had no life and enough time to stupidly over-analyze an animation that there was a thing there. I'll admit at first look, the animation looks as wonderful as all of Balthazar's work always does, but I enjoy over-analyzing things. Still a huge fan of your animating, just figured it was something I could point out :P
