Quotemaybe an low res sprite can be better before this...the body looks strange...o0sure the sprite could be more animated etc, but i dont want to spend thousands of hours in this.feel free to play the low-res-version.
I don't mind the res, you could do as recent doujin games and use "HD" sprites for what is worth. But the proportions are very displeacing, it is as if she is missing bodyparts.
hmm, i don't get it. she shouldnt be that detailed, because 1.) she should look like original and 2.) it would be too much work. if i'm expert in spriting anyday icould edit later, or any other guy whos better than me, when im finished.but, whats up with the proportions? i tried to bring it like in the comic-series, and thought i did it. maybe i don't see it cause im to confident of my work, so please say it, it isnt to late to change something, cause iplan to overedit the standing and walk animation later, to bring leg-, arm-and-skirt animation to it.to the HD-thing: never tried it. is it harder (or takes more time) than painting it in average-style?
body proportions, see basic anatomy, currently it her waist-torso-hips area seems to be way too small.

It's all for your own good.

I agree with you. She looks like in the comic series.
basic proportion is, the elbow should be in line with waist, and the hand is just long enough to reach crotch area, on a straight torso. if she is bending her waist, then there is a foreshortening effect, so you need to play more with shades and shadow, otherwise it looks distorted. and her high heels need more work too.
