How do you add select screen portraits to characters who don't have any. Any help is appreciated.

Um...maybe I should make a video that would explain how to do this...because YouTube doesn't have ANY good ones...

Someone told me to find a picture you want then convert it to pcx format. Then open the character you want in fighter factory that doesn't have a portrait and go to the sprites tab and add the picture. Then add it to 9000, 1 and save it and I should have a new portrait.
When I open my mugen the character portrait is still blank. Is that the correct way to do it if so what am I doing wrong? If its not what am I supposed to do? Please Help.

Convert the image to 256 colors.

What are using to mount the image to the sff?
