okay so the old biography from the last thread:

MDISinister, as a lot of you may know, is working on his game Thunder Duelists, and a lot of footage is being revamped. so he handed some old footage of two characters for me to do something with. and i started working on that this weekend

the sprites, anyway.

so basically the character is portrayed by reginald dyson, who you may remember is the face and voice of ghetto warmachine, and here he is Reggie Skatore (basically his real name but his last name replaced with that of the 24-7 Spyz bassist's name). he has a stand called Disco Volante (named after the Mr. Bungle album) which is represented by another scrapped character (formerly known as Count Crackula portrayed by syed jamal, who was the actor who is shown in GWM's 'why bother man' winpose)

this character isn't going to be jojo styled though.

still here? okay. so basically i wanted to work on him again but...i didn't like his moveset. so i'm revamping it completely

videos would be totally outdated so here's some other 'proof' i suppose






now for the moveset. lemme know if any of this sounds dumb, useless or broken as hell, thanx!

SPECIALS:
* Pavement Saw (charge back, forward, P):
Weak variant dashes forward a bit with a swift slash from his staff.
Heavy variant dashes further and hits three times, but has considerably
longer start-up.
* Natural High of Bloodstone (charge down, up, P):
Weak variant shoots Reggie upward for a short distance and height. Essentially a standard uppercut.
Heavy variant has longer start-up but shoots farther upward and takes him a
bit farther.
* Bye Bye Bye (charge back, forward, K)
Weak variant dashes forward a bit with a sliding kick that hits low.
Heavy variant dashes further and hits three times, but has considerably
longer start-up.
* The Miracle of Sound in Motion (qcf, qcb, K)
Waits for a bit, hops back and a burst of freezing air emits from the
ground in the place he was performing the move.
Heavy variant takes a bit longer to process but the air hits three times
and shoots higher.
Basically a shameless take-off of his move in Thunder Duelists, ‘Hip to be
Reg’.

SUPERS:
* Good Weather for an Airstrike (air variant also possible) (df, df, P)
Basically very reminiscent of DIO’s knife super, hurls a barrage of
multiple objects such as wooden spikes, Wendy’s Frosties, etc. Air variant
shoots these downward.
* Malpractice (qcb, qcf, K)
Begins spinning furiously and moves forward slowly. If the opponent is hit
during this they will be drawn in and slashed multiple times. If it misses
it leaves Reggie wide open to be attacked.
** Didn’t We Deserve a Look at You the Way You Really Are (qcf, qcf, K)
Basically a take off of Hyo Imawano’s super; Reggie throws out a kick. Upon
connecting, a wooden clone of Reggie appears behind the opponent and they
begin pummeling the opponent and end with a variant of Natural High of
Bloodstone. If it misses Reggie has no cooldown and isn’t open for an
attack (again like Hyo’s).
*** Deathstyle (qcb, qcf, P)
Reggie dashes forward very far and very fast, and upon connecting, he does
a combo on the opponent as his Stand builds a tower of Jengas, which then
collapse on the opponent to do major damage. If he misses this attack he’ll
slam into the wall and do slight damage to himself.

and that should be it. if i can i'll get some videos of the new moves up, but for now it's back to the drawing board

You can use Gambit's Cajun Strike as a reference basis for Pavement Saw.

danke! well i've mainly been putting the animations together and coded one special, namely pavement saw



it's not much but hey i'm workin' on it! i should probably iron out the basic attacks too but i want to do that last at this rate

another special coded -- and since these shots look really plain that's my next thing

i'm braindead at coming up with good special effects so i have no idea how to make it look like the move before it is so swift it becomes sharp and this move to look like his leg is emitting some sort of freezing aura that stings the opponent upon impact

really abstract explanations but it's the best i can do; also effects for the miracle of sound in motion since there's no good 'freezing air bursting from the ground' sprites
