Steel is now hosted at CVG United...but different.

What's new included?
-2 added AI patches, each by zvitor, 1 publicly released, 1 privately until now
-better sound by Kageuchi
-arcade ending by nkorey2000
-merged normal portraits and DCvM portraits into one character
-readme file information (AI adjustment instructions, DCvM portrait adjustment instructions, Q&A with Bizarro_Toro, move list)

You can find him in the download section.

Also now have a stage made for him by our newest stage creation team member, flamekyo.

 :P Hasn't happened in some hours actually, click where says STEEL John Henry Irons there on Neko's post.

Well, about Steel, his sprites and animations are really well done. The version with the missaligned portrait is for their special screenpack.

Same stuff as usual : good sprite edits, but gameplay shitty as hell. :gonk:

- LOL hittable cape.
- CLSNs are overall very very bad.
- Bad width, making HP, HK, MK and crouching MK miss at close range.
- qcb+Z is an infinite in the corner.
- Infinite juggling with basics, especially with MP, since it sends the opponent in the air, leading to easy infinites.
- Dashing when jumping makes him stand in mid-air.
- Didn't know you could infinite dash in MVC.
- The opponent's custom state during qcf+C looks lame.
- qcf+2P misses at close range ...


Grade : D-

Top was when he was in idle pose, second was during taunt

Found a bug in super where if he gets hit the rocks will keep hitting you until you die or game freezes. All in all he is a good character and the ai makes him very challenging. D- is a little over the top hatred but atleast you posted what you saw as bugs.

Different ? Before caring about AI, endings and sound patches, I'd like to know if this "edit" at least removes the infinites, horrible CLSNs, etc. ???

not yet, due to time constraints with the event and his initial release, some of those things could not be looked into yet...but they will.

although have you tried him with the ai patches by zvitor? zvitor also included some bug fixes too. in fact, i never noticed any of the problems documented here, and i think it is because of the patches (strong ai patch tested more than stronger ai patch)
