i want to know what  other programms allow us to make games?

Well, I know many engines but not any good freeware.

Game Maker (Dunno the price) - 5/10 - Don't waste your time, the coding is too complex for 3d games, the graphics are ORRIBLE and you can't code ai for fighting.

Unity Game Engine (£500 to £1500) - 9/10 - Best engine for any rookies. Seen my bro work on it and you can make some hawt stuff. The interface is very user friendly! Shaders are great and it can port your creations to the:
Iphone, Wii and PC :)

FPS Creator (cost about £500 for all the model packs... Rip off) - 1/10 - Get out!

Don't really know any specific 2D fighting engines, sorry.

Fighter Maker is like Mugen, but more for fullgames.

Multimedia Fusion 2 allows to create various programs.

Beats of Rage allows to create beat'em ups.

RPG Maker : to create RPGs, obviously.

I'll have to disagree to that one. The coding is only slightly difficult, the graphics are importable, and you can code ai.


Maybe you should try it for longer than 30 seconds next time.

It has much more custom abilities for screenpack (animations, graphics, etc.). I heard the coding of the chars wasn't as customizable though.
Check out Vanguard Princess to get an idea of what can be done with Fighter Maker. Ask Cooper for the main differences, since he made a game with FM (and since I've never used FM, I'm not the best to inform).

I had it for a year with my bro. We made a spaceship racing game in 3d..... But the graphics were absolutely terrible. It's like they strectched out the textures.

BOR is funny, really funny (lol could you imagine a game where you can beat a bunch of Goukis at same time, for example?) , but is so much limited.
Also, as many beat'em up games, sometimes becomes boring as hell. ;P

I do know how to make and use resources  :P My bro makes models in maya and I did most of the coding. But it was ridicoudly hard to code.
