Release date: 04/11/2020   (YEAHHHHH!!!!!!! my birthday!!!!!!)

Hey People of MFG, this time i bring you my favorite of the SF´s saga Forgotten Five: RETSU.

In some lores its a shaolin, but the gi looks like shorinji kempo, so I was guided by Trololo research about, (thanks bro) and that way developed a mixed figthing style for him. The design its also a mix of the original SF and the CRI shadaloo designs.

FEATURES:

- Restu´s sprites habe been drawed, cleaned, edited by me.
- Color separation/smart palette (Enjoy palette artist)
- Some sound originals by my friend RagingRowen. (Thanks a lot bro.)
- 4 grab/throw moves
- 12 special moves
- 6 button gameplay
- Reversal moves (hitback & grappling)
- Good comboability
- Run animation
- 12 Palettes (plus extra 25palettes)
- 4 Hypers
- Running
- 3 Dodge  moves (activated depending the gameplay situation)
- Running Attacks (new feature)
- Powercharge
- Great comboability and air combos posibles.
- A lot of moves

The gameplay, commands and combos are "Capcom Style". So try to develop you own combinations.

Great! I followed your work for some time now.
I'm glad he's finally playable!


EDIT : I have soem message error. the character won't load.
Tried with M1.0

I can definitely see the Kempo influence. Tbo, he seems a bit hard to punish. But a very cool character. Something different.

Do your best to become stronger. Become stronger, so you can do your best.

Mugen is a way for me to remain nostalgic with all of the dream matches I cooked up as a kid. It's also what I call a "Digital Action Figure Collection."

Heh. Finally released him, I see.
Congrats on the release, Pal. That's a really worthy of respect version of Retsu (even though I still think constant fancy kicking techniques don't fir him)!
Just interested: any plans for someone else from SF1?

No offense, but I see a lot of issues on this character (And I mean more than just aesthetics). And the readme seems to be very lazy as all you did was copy the same description text on it. Here are some feedback on why:

-Big portrait is over the 120 x 140 ratio.
-Round animation plays in the middle of the intros.
-Standing LK can only be blocked while crouching.
-Certain moves don't have swing sounds or are mistimed.
-Landing effects are not properly aligned.
-Hadouken has no guard sparks when blocked.
-Thrust Kick uses a special projectile hit sound when it hits.
-Guard sounds are inconsistent as strong attacks uses CvS2 while the light and medium use SFA's.
-One of the specials makes the opponent hit state sprites to disappear temporary.
-One hyper will miss if the opponent is too close to him and is unblockable when it connects.
-One hyper uses default hitsparks when it hits successfully.
-One hyper makes the lifebars reappear while the move connects when it's not supposed to and can the opponent to stop blocking in the middle of it due to one of the hits being only blockable when crouching.
-The red hitbox on one of the hypers doesn't disappear completely and will cause debug flood (Doing the move too much will make the opponent constantly block when moving backwards and will eventually make M.U.G.E.N slow down).

Can you update with a movelist? Without it, this makes my feedback sound vague and would be a lot easier to point out which moves causes those issues.
I will still do detail and aesthetic feedback for the rest.

Thanks for the feedback, always is important to have a panoramical vision who like a creator sometimes not see that errors.

+The portrait are custom for my screenpack. Will add a standard portrait.

+-Certain moves don't have swing sounds or are mistimed. (It would be nice if especifies wich ones to made a faster fix)
+-Landing effects are not properly aligned.    (will be checked)
+-Hadouken has no guard sparks when blocked.  (My fault, I didn´t noticed that)
+-Thrust Kick uses a special projectile hit sound when it hits. (Again My fault, I didn´t noticed that too, almost always coding with lower volume.)
+-Guard sounds are inconsistent as strong attacks uses CvS2 while the light and medium use SFA's. (same problem, low volume wil be check)

+(Next ones must be cleared, Im not the greatest coder, but i will try to fix it. If some one can help is welcome)
