Let's be honest here, Nintendo thinks people are buying amiibo mainly for the functionality, hence they're putting out more amiibo cards.
So, apparently, Nintendo took down yet ANOTHER fan game, called No Mario's Sky. A parody of No Man's Sky, but with Mario physics and platforming.https://asmb.itch.io/no-marios-skyBut, they have made a DMCA's Sky in replacement of the Mario version. Still, Nintendo seems to be a bunch of assholes now days.
i can get the reasoning behind shutting down remakes of games or games that make a profit but cases like this one and that pokemon fangame are fucking ridiculous

A Game Theo-*shot*
Oh dear. Another take down? At least sega is indifferent to and/or hires fangame devs, so why can nintendo?
because nintendo already have enough developers as it is, while sega are still struggling to make a good game with their flagship character
Did some additional research on that game thanks to GameXplain:So it's an endless runner that isn't endless. Well that's...different.
Of course not, Nintendo will never back out of consoles. After all, within the next gen they're going to be developing games for the PS4 .
