Pardon my ignorance, but... is this simply a palette change, or is there anything else in the sprite I'm not seeing?

@Graphicus:

The bulk of the work was the gi (specifically near the lights, and the lines in general), it was an absolute SFA mess to clean up, in addition to the gloves. Everything else was fine as is.

Yeah I know. This is just an experiment, so I'll probably never continue this.

And in a sense, I didn't want the gi to look anything like Ryu's/Ken's/Akuma's, I wanted it to retain the Dan look from his sprites.

EDIT: Although I could have done work on the feet, they still look MvC-ish, but I guess no harm done since it was a...... let's just say a speed sprite.

Finally finished him.

EDIT: Fixed a boo-boo that I missed in one of his frames, concerning the belt, now it's finished.

Finally finished him.

The head not having any movement looks kinda weird. Imo, it should move at least a couple of pixels as he breathes in and out. Looks pretty good overall though.

@ゴーストキラー: I agree with you there, but surprisingly, in the original animation, Shen's head only moves so slightly that it's almost unnoticeable unless if you zoom in.

I'll give it another look though, but WHEN.. that's the issue. :P

A head bouncing could look fine, and hair movement  :)

I was going on the right way? (4th is Drex sprite) (2nd is an earlier attempt, 3rd is a SFA/SF4 mix)

There is hair movement, and like I said, Shen's head doesn't move much in the original animation. If you zoom in, you'll see that the hair moves, just not much because like the head in the original animation, there wasn't much movement.

Also, torso is WAY too big for third pic. Look at the 2nd one and see the difference.

it's a good concept of balrog I like it, just need a little more work but is cool.
And your Zangief sprite is cool too, I hope that you make the full after your Sagat :P


I'm curious about how to looks dhalsim in cvs :P, I mean the dhalsim of the game of cvs looks good but, what need for to be in cvs 100%?

I like but the arms/legs at the bottom portion of it (after the shoulders/biceps for arms, and after the  knee of the legs) should be a wee bit skinnier to emphasize his elastic nature, but not so much that it looks deflated. Take a look at Felo's and DanOwnsAll's versions to see what I mean.

You're improving a lot, if you do plan on taking on Zangief, I'll support it 100% like I did your Sagat. ;)
