If that's Shin Akuma in the preview, why does he still have normal Akuma's palette?
He’s most likely using someone else’s Akuma as a base to edit his Akuma. He probably chose has a regular Akuma and a shin Akuma, respectively mode, and what he’s probably doing is just showing off the character using the mode in which the first six pallets are basic and then the remaining six by holding the start button give you Shin akuma. My guess is by the time the characters complete it will probably have two Definition files, or even three, so you can choose what mode that you would like to use

Nah dw about it I'd be a dick to charge for it. Save your money, it was something I did for VSD anyways so I've no real qualms with it being used elsewhere.

Bruh... you moved a hitspark and changed some CLSN (which in your screenshot is still bad), that's still a spriteswap. If you change a move into another and do not touch its properties, unless it's exactly the same move, you'll have a lot of inconsistencies.
There is nothing wrong with spriteswap when you do it 'correctly'. You could do some research on how hitboxes works in official games, read mugen's documentation to know what each parameter of the hitdef do, and so on. Even I have to look at the mugen class section sometimes.
If you don't care about consistency or quality, if you just wanna have fun changing sprites, it's fine too.

If you want to take a reference, then do it properly: look at the same Ryu's LK animation, since it's functionally closer to what you need. Also, make the animtype in this kick's HitDef as "Low", right now it's "High". As you can see, Bison is moving his head here, even though it's not even nearly where he is hit. And one more thing: it's STILL a sprite swap indeed, even with edited hitboxes and stuff. However, there is no need to scoff at it. You still have a right to wear a good sprite swap proudly, mate, and so you shall. As your early work to get EXP that's more than good enough. Just make sure to dig deeper into the coding, so you could sooner leap off from spriteswaps to ysing characters as legitimate templates for other types of chars, got it? No point in these swaps if you learn nothing.

Just take a look at SFA3 hitboxes for this kick.

You see how small the hitbox is? Do you see how little it is outside the blue hitbox? Those are fair hitboxes. They way you have it (gigantic red hitbox, no blue hitbox around the leg) is has infinite piority. You can do that kick over and over again, p2 has little chance to retaliate.
And you should use one hitbox for the head, one for the upper body and one for the legs. That's all you nedd, p.e. your blue hitbox for that kick on the upper body is way too large.
I could hit him here: (https://i.imgur.com/DUxSznH.png) Doesn't make any sense. There is no body part from Akuma, still p2 could hit the air and it would affect Akuma.
Take a look at some hitbox tutorials... and by god, don't use AutoCLSN.
