Help on Using Touhou IZ common files

I just brought IZ Tenshi and Sumireko, and also, I brought the Touhou IZ Common Files from Riceigeon's website, and i'm now confused on how to get them work. Please explain on how to do this.

Both the common files and the characters that have been updated to support said files are contained within a folder named Touhou_IZ; simply extract that folder to the chars folder, then for the select.def entries, instead of simply typing Tenshi_THIZ to add Tenshi to your roster, you have to type Touhou_IZ/Tenshi_THIZ.def.

You know how to extract content from a .zip file, right? Both Touhou_IZ-Common_Files.zip and the individual character .zip files contain a folder named Touhou_IZ, which in turn houses additional folders and files. The characters require what's in Touhou_IZ-Common_Files.zip to work properly, so you'd want to extract the Touhou_IZ folder from both the common .zip and the individual character .zip files to the chars folder (it'll ask to merge them, which you want to do). What you should end up with inside the chars folder is the Touhou_IZ folder, and then inside that will be the character .def files, the character folders, and the common folder.

I tried to extract Youmu Char Zip file, and it asks me to replace the existing file, what do I do?

If it's asking you to merge with the existing folder, then do it.

But wait, if I put another Touhou IZ File if there's already one, what will happen? Do I have to rename it?
