I've grown up with a major disconnect for my family because they're not blood and deep down it affected and changed me, as well as a divorce. The one person in my family I do connect with is my mother. Regardless of bloodlines, she kind of just knew that I was destined to be her son seeing for the first time at the orphanage. Our bond is strong and while I don't react to many thing emotionally, I find that in stories of mothers losing it sons (and visa versa), it speaks to me greatly and will be destroyed when that time eventually comes. She's been diagnosed with cancer and has been keeping it under wraps for some years now. She's very positive and powerful and that's not going to be the end of her, I know. However, I can relate to what you're saying completely. I try not to think about it and keep in contact best I can. She lives in NM right now, far away from me, so phone calls is the best we can do mostly. I'd say just be able to appreciate the time you have here and don't think about the eventual aftermath. You will deal with it when that time comes, so try not to worry about it beforehand.

Just to confirm for you guys, it was not maintenance. It was a hack, but a really amateurish one regarding youtubers/twitter users that no one knows or gives two shits about. It's random and out of place. I wouldn't jump to any conclusions just yet. I'm just glad I was able to fix it without access to the actual files.

And you founded it too! If I was a teacher, I'd slap the mouse out of any student's hand to started by copying and pasting, lol. I kind of envy those who can learn in such a manner. I'll just forget what I learned if I did that with new languages. Ruby was something I learned fairly recently (and by proxy Rails) and I ended up trying everything out from scratch (and still do actually) from method definitions to advanced migrations, etc.
Why does this trigger me so much.
It's because people want to be spoon-fed everything. I completely get it. There are many that mistake copy-pasting code for "learning." Granted, there are some who can learn that way, but most cannot. The best of way learning is doing and copy-pasting isn't doing shit.

If you are studying computer science or intend to do any development, get a MacBook. It has a UNIX-based OS by default, which is great for ANY developer, and you can install a Windows OS for dual-booting. Their specs are good enough for gaming, too (or at least the MacBook Pro's are).
The price may seem high, but their notebooks last twice as long as competitors'.
Agreed completely. Developing on PC is awkward in comparison. It's hard to describe the difference. For games though, you'll have more options if you go with high-end PC. There are mac-compatible titles on Steam, through you're more limited.

Not quite. MFFA has little issues in and out. Just recently, every time I try to visit a page, it resets you back to the main menu and sometimes, it just takes time to load your own profile.

I dunno if this counts for anything, but I also know that being overweight comes with its own set of stigmas. For one, it gives the impression that the person can't take care of themselves, and that they may have psychological issues and insecurities that might exascerbate problems in the workplace.
Yes, people are shallow sons of bitches, but appearances ARE very important, especially when you're competing with people of the same skill set.
And I'm speaking from experience too. I've been on a weight-loss regimen since April and in general, people DO treat you differently if you are more in-shape.
I've only really ever been on one side of the spectrum (mostly too thin), so I can't relate with being overweight, but I think that your personality has a lot to do with it too, but then again it really depends on who is interviewing you and what kind of personality they have; how judgmental they may be, etc. Do you mean people in general or only potential employers during interviews? I'm just curious.

What job are you even applying for? Fitness Instructor? Yeeeah, probably not gonna work out. Anything else that doesn't require you to be fit shouldn't matter. I've never heard of a case of someone being turned down for a job because they were too fat. I mean, unless you can't fit through their office doors with ease, it's pretty obviously something else.
