OMG Vulpix!!  My favorite pokemon somehow gets even more adorable.  And the new Ninetales looks like some kinda ice spirit.  I love it.    :swoon: :swoon:

Yeah, white floofy fox is floofy! Just stay away from steel types and you'll be fine.

On a related note, I guess those leaks are being true. So, I guess no more gyms?

I need to sleep on this. All of this new information is too much...

The Z-Moves are said to work only if the move matches the type of the Z-Crystal both Pokemon and Trainer are holding. As it shows, Pikachu can only use Bloom Doom if it carried the Grass Z-Crystal and knows a Grass move, being Grass Knot. If this applies to status moves too, imagine a Inferno Overdrive Gengar because of Will-O-Wisp. I'm not even sure how these Z-moves will work with Hidden Power. Will the crystals treat it as a Normal type move or the type assigned to it due to the IVs?

I guess it is another thing we need to discover ourselves, cause I do not think the game developers will not tell us that fact.

It would be quite a doozey if Hidden Power's IV typing will matter however. It will drive people insane with the possibilities for type coverage.

I was confused for a minute what Capcom did to Pokémon.

I'd really hate for them to lose Megas, love the design on a bunch of them, Pinsir, Gardevoir and Pidgeot mostly.  Not all, some I felt were lacking something to really make them special, don't think I'll ever really like either Mega Mewtwo form.  But it was exciting to see new forms for old Pokémon, and brought something new to battle.

I'd suppose they'd just not let you stack up these powers.  Megas already ignore happiness meters from spending time with the Pokémon once they evolve, same deal for Z-Moves.

Oh wait, I missed the part that they have to hold an item to use a Z-Move.  So that already negates the possibility of Megas using Z-Moves right off the bat.

If Megas are kept, Mega Rayquaza's the only Mega to use Z-moves. I'm still mind blown of the possibility how Z-moves work. That's my priority in terms of Sun/Moon news because I want to know EVERYTHING about it.

You know I think Vulpix and Nintetails kinda got trolled hard by the Alolan forms. Getting an ice typing is like getting socks for christmas.

Interesting to see how sandslash will work out with being ice and steel though.

Everything in the new trailer aren't the same stuff over and over again and completely new and different what are you even talking about? We haven't even seen all the alt forms yet you're whining too early.

Okay, now THAT is a very bullshit thing to do.
I never had a Vulpix in any POKéMON game I owned (always got the edition with no Vulpix, no idea why), so because of that, I'm now forever locked from the original version in Sun&Moon? Seriously, what kind of bullshit is that?
I mean, sure, I can just download POKéMON Blue on the VC and get Vulpix that way, but that still doesn't change the fact that this is a bullshit thing to do.
Not everyone with Sun or Moon in possession also has the means to get a regular version of Vulpix, and something like this is a very unfair thing to do.
I really REALLY hope this part of the leak will end up being not true, but knowing Game Freak, it probably ends up being true anyway.

But what if I don't have such person, too?

I mean, for a long time, I was playing POKéMON games solo. I had absolutely NOBODY I could even play other games with through link cables, let alone trade POKéMON.

Gen VI can't directly trade with Gen VII. You'd have to trade with that person using those games and then use Pokémon Bank to transfer them up to Gen VII, by which point you might as well go catch one yourself.

There will probably be surplus Vulpix & other vanilla mons up for trade online once people start transferring their Gen 6 / Virtual Console Gen 1 other with Pokemon bank, like all of the other Pokemon you can't easily encounter at first.
