I understand that this is a topic meant for sharing the good moments Trevor, or as I've known him for a long time, Traweezie brought us, yet I felt I had to vent about simply more then just moments in a itemized list and talk about my direct experiences with him, which are placed in the spoilered section as a warning. Feel free to skip past it to the bottom if you wish.Spoiler, click to toggle visibilty
I had the pleasure, and likewise privilege, of being a sparring partner of sorts with Traw and at a time a part of the crusade experience under his oversight. I can't really describe how things began besides watching his crusade streams and possibly playing him in them, but for more then 4 years I got the chance to play him in a variety of fighting games, usually under the fangame/mugen/ikemin blanket. Over time, I also had the chance to see some of his influential energy he always seemed to have. I know several projects have been mentioned by now but I directly got to witness him not only spark the revival to Capcom Universe, but also its transfer to Ikemin, the continued efforts in what used to be Marvel Vs Capcom Extended and everything it inspired, the creation of a proper One Piece Great Pirate Colosseum and Dragon Ball Extreme Butoden community, being the creator and owner of several discords, chief of which being the Super Smash Bros Crusade one, and even more that I sadly can't remember. Being an influencer wasn't all he was good at though, and honestly probably came as a result of his multifaceted talent and large reach in all things gaming. He'd stream everything from Megaman X Deathmatch to One Step From Eden, Flash Party to Super Smash Flash 2, but even moreso, he'd put in the work in those communities. Tournaments, testing, even PR at times he could handle with ease alongside streaming and juggling his actual life on the side and the stress that followed without faltering much, and at the risk of putting him on a pedestal, it was insane how interconnected and influential he was, especially in the community aspect of both the games directly and those who watched him on streams. Honestly, my greatest regret in trying to come to terms with it all is knowing how infrequently I supported him as of late. From switching positions within the super smash bros crusade devteam which was less direct, to showing up to his streams once every blue moon and actually taking up his opportunities to play games with him, public or otherwise, without much of an explanation on my end. We didn't tend to communicate outside of streams or when nessesary/in more public discussions either, so it just feels like I gave up on him and I won't get the chance to address that with him anymore, which leaves me even worse off in knowing he probably wouldn't have cared much and would've been just fine as he always was. He wasn't perfect, something I can attest to in certain fields, even if how is better left out of my mouth. But he deviated from what was "right" at times simply because he had a real passion for what he did, and had it been extinguished, he'd take a break and come back better then ever. In fact, that dedication of his was equally a part of his influence and how several projects were able to move on in both small and big ways, and I'm glad he had it in him. At this point, I can only hope those who he helped both indirectly and directly in the past, present, and into the future have their hearts warmed by Traw's efforts.
That being said, I can't even begin to decide on what to post specifically, so in no order, heres a set of streams I was lucky to take a part in just because it somewhat makes the process easierVIDEO VIDEO VIDEO I can't begin to tell you how fun it was to take part in the experiences he offered, nor how bittersweet it is both revising them and returning to the present, to reality. But I'm glad that I got to see a part of his life, and how he touched the lives of those around him, and I'm sure hes moved on to a better place, just like his grandfather. I also vehemently hope this both this thread and all the support everyone has given him now give Travon High's family and friends joyful glimpses into his grand past had they not already known what he did thus far, and closure about his passing, knowing that despite his early departure, he had and has indeed left his mark. I'll miss you Traw
