Merchandising my friend. The Cars cars rake in the money more than anything else.
Indeed, I was thinking only in terms of box office and worldwide gross, while merchandising is also a very important source of income. But still, compared to some of their other movies ... bleh, fucking cars. Next they're going to make a barbie movie.

I am very happy that they made a Cars 2 movie.
I didn't see the first, and I certainly not seeing this one either, but my 6 years old nephew is completely crazy for the toys and the movies so spoiling him will be so much easier now.  8)

 • Does this look like the face of mercy?
Main character is female so everyone's reaction is that it's going to be a movie for little girls.

looks kinda LOTR. I haven't really liked anything Disney since "all dogs go to heaven 2"
because everything seems to have a parental bonus/humor/predictable plot or character stink.

What I don't understand either is why they made a sequel to their worst movie (well, I should say "less good"), which is also the one which had the less success among all their masterpieces...

Merchandising my friend. The Cars cars rake in the money more than anything else.
In comparison, Up, which was fucking awesome, had very little merchandising and made very little profits. although to be honest that movie doesn't need a sequel.

Speaking of sequels that will never be made because of bad profits, Scott Pilgrim. I want a sequel where Scott fights Ramona's GOOD exes.

I LOOOOOVED Up. Scott Pilgrim? The novelty wore off for me. It didn't help that every schmuck at my school played the game to death.

Mulan was like the last good movie Disney made. And they did it before filmmakers jumped on the "suck China's cock" bandwagon (I'm looking at YOU, Karate Kid remake)

There's supposedly a Toy Story 4 in the makes? If the short before Cars 2 was any indication of what to expect, be VERY afraid (it was a mediocre Toy Story 3 short about a vacation with Barbie and Ken).
