It kind of sounds like he wants it to be in mainstream continuity, but Strange would end up completely isolated from the rest of the universe anyways, so what's even the point?

I really don't get it, at all.

I can't believe he won an Emmy award for best Modern Family* actor! He's not even in Modern Family!

*hopefully next year the Emmys will finally correct their oversight and stop calling the Modern Family category "comedy", it's kind of embarrassing.

Well, I almost had a heart attack, because I saw an article with the words "Mark Millar", "creative director", and "Marvel movies" in the title. But worry not, true believers! It's only Fox's Marvel movies! So he'll be overseeing the two X-Men movies (X-Men: Days of Future Past and the "I can't believe they're going with that title" X-Men movie, The Wolverine), as well as a Fantasic Four reboot. And this is all a really bad idea because Millar is terrible.

Now, for everyone besides the 4 people who know who I'm talking about: Mark Millar is a popular comic book writer who first became famous for his work at DC in the 90's, and then exploded in popularity when he began working pretty much exclusively at Marvel in the 00's. Unfortunatly, Millar's Marvel work has pretty much been universally terrible. His plots are boring, he changes characterizations to fit those plots, no matter how nonsensical they are, and he enjoys gratuitous violence and rape scenes.

His recent work has wiped out a lot of people's goodwill: Kick-Ass has all those troubling racial issues and that weird thing where they kept insisting it was totally realistic man, just ignore the katana wielding 11 year old who overpowers full-grown men. And Nemesis had this:

So anyway, that's all creator owned stuff, who cares? What about his Marvel stuff? Well he did launch Ultimate X-Men way back in 2001, and that was sort of OK? Despite Wolverine sleeping with a 19 year old Jean Grey? I dunno? Oh, and Ultimate Fantastic Four. That was pretty lame. OK, let's move onto mainstream Marvel stuff. Civil War's characterization of Iron Man and those on his side as a bunch of literal facists has been something the Marvel universe has been struggling to undo. Real nice work there, Mark. Hmm, there was that Spider-Man run he did where he revealed Electro is bisexual because he liked getting raped in prison, because that's how things work. Ooh, and there his shitty Fantastic Four run where, among other things, he had Dr. Doom bow before his previously unseen (and unknown, because it makes no sense) master...

I can't wait until Marvel gets their characters back.
