Ah, I see, the movie was put away but they thought a TV series would pass. Oh well, I wouldn't have minded.

The Vampire Diaries is actually a pretty great show, it goes through entire seasons worth of plot in single episodes.

So I dunno, maybe the Battle Royale show could've been good, but the CW has a really terrible track record with a few exceptions.

Yeah I have been told that vampire diaries is competely superior to twilight and actually worth watching, the only problems I ahve with tv series is that it is difficult to catch them from the start.

well, there is still a chacne that in another 2 years they revive the battle royale project, after all they already did that once and hunger games hype should still last a few mroe years because there are 3 novels, afaik.

Oh, that comic about the Greek Gods mocking the crucified Jesus just to get their asses kicked shortly afterwards.

Ok. Calm down. So, Syfy canceled one of my favorite shows, Alphas, a smart, thoughtful sci-fi show about people with superpowers that often reflected their own mental issues. It was well-written, funny, and the acting was great (it had David motherfucking Strathairn!), and subtly explored mental illness through an X-Men like lens.

So obviously that had to go to make way for shit like Ghost Mine. Ghost Mine. Seriously. Fucking Ghost Mine. I hate you Syfy. You cancel Eureka, and cut down it's final season to one episode (there was gonna be a musical episode you assholes) without telling them until the last minute, leaving them scrambled. And then this happens. Fuck you Syfy, you're almost as bad of a network as NBC. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRGHHHHHHHHH

The channel indeed gotten worse and worse since the name change, but they at least had a few token actual science fictiony shows. And now there's what, two? And the rest of their programming is wrestling or UFC or whatever and ghost shit? UGH
And speaking of terrible decisions, FX may split into two different channels, one for older viewers (featuring dramas like Justified and Sons of Anarchy) and one for youngers viewers (featuring comedies like It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and The League and... Anger Management :noo:). The younger-skewing channel would take the place of Fox's soccer channel, because lol soccer, and which might pose problems because said soccer channel is not always on cable packages. Also, the dramatic channel would keep the name FX, while the comedic channel would be called "FXX".

Yeah, I read about that change for Fox Soccer to FX2 (I think FXX is awkard to say, plus what would happen if they have an FXXX... that would be funny as hell, but massively awkward).

Why couldn't they just keep their comedies on FX? Have the original comedies on FX and there you go. It's not that difficult, people.

They actually had FXXX once. It was a shitty near-midnight block of 'adult entertainment' ie not real porn.

And FX barely even has enough original content as it is now. The vast majority of stuff on it's schedule is either reruns or movies (FX HAS THE MOVIES), which makes this plan even more idiotic.

Network television is run by out of touch suits and dinosaurs. Its decisions like this that only quicken its inevitable downfall. They cancelled Alphas? Are they frickin' serious? The show was getting darker, and gaining more emotional resonance plus David Stratharin's arc in season 2 was brilliantly done. There was just so much that the new show-runners were getting right with this show, they made you interested in every character. I just can't like anything anymore. Decent, ambitious, well made programming will always be cancelled before its given its due. If it ain't Ghost Hunters I guess it ain't happening. I'm still going to hope against hope that they'll revive Alphas like Fox did with Family Guy, its honestly the only reason I had left to tune into SyFy at all since I can catch a Twilight Zone marathon on youtube if so inclined..

Oh and I'm pretty sure that SyFy is a part of the NBC Universal mega-corporation family so this cancellation order seems well in line with Jack Donaghy's master plan to nuke the network by terminating decent shows and replacing them with God Cop or yet another run of M.I.L.F. Island.
